The mounting frame includes two lug portions extending in a first direction transverse to the support post and towards the wheel. The lug portions are spaced apart from each other in a second direction transverse to the first direction. A brake shoe includes a pair of arresting portions with two anchoring ends which are mounted pivotally on the lug portions, respectively. The arresting portions extend in the first direction, are spaced apart from each other in the second direction, and form two arresting surfaces therebeneath. A biasing spring has a biasing action along a lengthwise axis, and two ends fixedly secured relative to the support post and to the brake shoe, respectively.

  • Patent number: 6053518
Abstract: A bicycle trailer includes a looped carrier frame and two pairs of vertical sleeves which extend upward from front and rear end portions of the carrier frame. The sleeves have surrounding walls of U-shaped horizontal cross-section, thereby forming vertical openings in the surrounding walls. Each surrounding wall is provided with two opposing horizontally aligned holes. A plurality of horizontal pivot members extend through the aligned holes substantially in parallel with a line that extends from the front end portion to the rear end portion of the carrier frame. Each of a pair of curved support rods has two end portions which are inserted respectively into one of the sleeves of the front end portion and one of the sleeves of the rear end portion.

  • Patent number: 5992567
Abstract: A foldable frame includes a pair of upright supporting rods, a pair of prop members, upper and lower crosspieces, right and left linking arms, and a pair of guiding members. The supporting rods are parallel to each other and extend in a first longitudinal direction. The prop members are also parallel to each other but extend in a second longitudinal direction. Each prop member has a second upper connecting portion pivotally connected to a first upper connecting portion of a respective supporting rod to enable the supporting rods to move from a folded position to a straddling position. The crosspieces are disposed transverse to the supporting rods, and are pivotally mounted thereon. The linking arms have upper and lower end portions respectively pivoted to rear sides of the upper and lower crosspieces, and are spaced apart from each other in a transverse direction, and are parallel to the supporting rods.

  • Patent number: 5829770
Abstract: A bicycle trailer includes a frame with front and rear pivot seats, and a sunshade support provided with a foldable unit consisting of a vertical lower rod, a vertical upper rod and a curved rod. The lower rod has a bottom end connected pivotally to the rear seat and an upper end connected pivotally to the upper rod. The curved rod has a front end connected pivotally to the front seat and a rear end connected pivotally to a top end of the upper rod. A bracing element is mounted movably on the lower rod and capable of bracing the upper and lower rods together such that the upper and lower rods are immobilized to each other in a parallel manner. When depressed and pushed frontwardly of the frame, the bracing element permits folding action of the lower rod onto the frame, the upper rod onto the lower rod, and the curved rod onto the upper rod.

  • Patent number: 5765855
Abstract: A foldable stroller includes a seat frame unit, a horizontal wheel frame and a locking pin. The seat frame has a U-shaped lower end portion and a plate member formed with a through hole and connected to the lower end portion. The seat frame unit is supported inclinedly on the wheel frame in an unfolded position and is laid on the wheel frame in a folded position by means of a support frame unit. The front section of the wheel frame has a transverse socket unit so that the U-shaped lower end portion of the seat frame unit can be inserted into the socket unit. The socket unit has a receiving groove and a tubular member which is communicated with the receiving groove. The locking pin extends slidably into the tubular member through the through hole of the plate member of the seat frame unit in order to lock releasably the seat frame unit on the wheel frame in the unfolded position.
