  • Publication number: 20240087181
Abstract: The technology disclosed herein involves using a transformation curve to modify colors of images so that those images are more easily viewed by persons with a color vision deficiency (CVD). The transformation curve is applied to spectral versions of images in which each pixel has a spectral representation to modify the spectral versions of the images. A spectral version of an image is modified by, for each pixel of the spectral version of the image, modifying intensities of one or more wavelengths by applying the one or more wavelengths to the transformation curve, which transforms the intensities from source wavelengths to destination wavelengths. The modified spectral version of the image is then modified to a modified version of the image in a color space, such as the RGB color space.

  • Patent number: 11282258
Abstract: Image quality can be improved by rendering the image based on an importance map that indicates regions of the image that will benefit from more samples. Adaptive sampling determines a number of samples for each pixel of the image using a target sampling rate and the importance map for the image. The number of samples for each pixel needs to be a non-negative integer value, so the per-pixel sampling rates are quantized using per-pixel random values. The resulting quantized sampling rates provides a distribution of samples that closely matches the importance map. The per-pixel random values may vary over time so that the average of the distribution more closely matches the importance map.

  • Publication number: 20100187810
Abstract: In an arrangement for connecting tube elements of a ventilation duct system, the inner tube (3) has an abutment (7?) for engagement with a matching abutment (8?) of the outer tube (1). By insertion of the inner tube (3) into the outer tube (1), the abutments (7?, 8?) are brought into engagement in a plane (P) perpendicular to the direction of insertion for providing coupling between the abutments and thereby connection of the tubes (1, 3). The abutment (7?) of the inner tube (3) is continuous along the circumference of the tube (3) and is provided at a distance (d) from a free end (20) of the inner tube (3).

  • Publication number: 20040262922
Abstract: An assembly system for coupling a first pipe element (2) and a second pipe element (3) has a circumferential clamping device (5) to be applied on the outside of the ends of the pipe elements and to be tightened around the same when the two pipe elements (2, 3) are placed end-to-end. The system also has a coupling device (6) to be arranged between the ends of the first and the second pipe elements (2, 3) and beneath the circumferential clamping device (5), so as to align and/or hold the two pipe elements (2, 3) during the assembly. A method of coupling a first pipe element (2) and a second pipe element (3) is also disclosed, as well as a coupling device (6) and use of the assembly system (1).

  • Patent number: 6431609
Abstract: A pipe connection for use in a ventilating duct system having ducts with circular cross-section is adapted to be inserted with a close fit into an outer pipe and be connected therewith. The pipe connection has a circumferential groove, in which a circumferential seal sealing against the inside of the outer pipe is arranged. A terminal edge portion of the pipe connection comprises an outer conical portion which has a diameter decreasing towards the end of the pipe connection, and a circumferential guide surface having such a diameter that said close fit is obtained. The axial length (L3) of the terminal edge portion constitutes about 1.5-5.5% of the diameter of the guide surface. The outer conical portion at its end has a diameter which constitutes about 97-99.9% of the diameter of the guide surface.

  • Patent number: 6170883
Abstract: A tubular element has a sealing ring mounted at an end of the tubular element. The sealing ring has a base clamped against the outer surface of the tubular element. Further, the sealing ring has a sealing lip adapted to seal against an inner surface of an outer tube, in which the tubular element is inserted. The base is disposed in a groove that is formed in the wall of the tubular element. The sealing ring has a further lip that is positioned adjacent to the end of the tubular element and that is bent down and clamped against the base by means of the end portion, thereby providing secure fastening of the sealing ring. The sealing ring is fastened by a method involving bending of the end portion of the tubular element together with the further lip.

  • Patent number: 6030005
Abstract: In a method of coupling a first pipe with a second pipe having a circumferential bead, use is made of an annular clamping band which is applied on the outside of the end beads and is tightened around the end beads when the pipes are placed end to end. The clamping band has on its inside a sealing ring, which is arranged against the end beads. A first recess of the sealing ring is formed on and held on the outside of the end bead of the first pipe in such a manner that a second recess of the sealing ring is arranged axially outside this end bead. The second recess of the sealing ring is then formed on the end bead of the second pipe, and finally the clamping band is tightened around the end beads with the sealing ring placed between the clamping band and the end beads.
