  • Patent number: 11683286
Abstract: Techniques for using Network Address Translation (NAT), Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP), and/or other techniques in conjunction with Domain Name System (DNS) to anonymize server-side addresses in data communications. Rather than having DNS provide a client device with an IP address of an endpoint device, such as a server, the DNS instead returns a virtual IP (VIP) address that is mapped to the client device and the endpoint device. In this way, IP addresses of servers are obfuscated by a virtual network of VIP addresses. The client device may then communicate data packets to the server using the VIP address as the destination address, and a virtual network service that works in conjunction with DNS can convert the VIP address to the actual IP address of the server using NAT and forward the data packet onto the server.

  • Publication number: 20230188523
Abstract: A method is provided to anonymize the media access control (MAC) address of a client device. The method involves generating a plurality of media access control (MAC) addresses for use by a client device in a network. Policies are defined that determine which one of the plurality of MAC addresses is to be used by the client device. The plurality of MAC addresses allocated for use by the client device are registered with a management entity in the network.

  • Publication number: 20230185918
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for selectively placing and maintaining sensitive workloads in subsystems that achieve a minimum level of trustworthiness. An example method includes identifying at least one trustworthiness requirement associated with an application and transmitting, to a first subsystem, a request for at least one trustworthiness characteristic of the first subsystem and at least one second subsystem connected to the first subsystem. A response indicating the at least one trustworthiness characteristic is received from the first subsystem. The example method further includes determining that the at least one trustworthiness characteristic satisfies the at least one trustworthiness requirement; and causing the application to operate on a mesh comprising the first subsystem and the at least one second subsystem.

  • Publication number: 20230179579
Abstract: Techniques for using Network Address Translation (NAT), Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP), and/or other techniques in conjunction with Domain Name System (DNS) to anonymize server-side addresses in data communications. Rather than having DNS provide a client device with an IP address of an endpoint device, such as a server, the DNS instead returns a random IP address that is mapped to the client device and the endpoint device. In this way, IP addresses of servers are obfuscated by a random IP address that cannot be used to identify the endpoint device or service. The client device may then communicate data packets to the server using the random IP address as the destination address, and a gateway that works in conjunction with DNS can convert the random IP address to the actual IP address of the server using NAT and forward the data packet onto the server.

  • Publication number: 20230171322
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to a system and method for deploying and managing services in tenant clusters using a management cluster. The management cluster includes an integration service in communication with a service controller. The integration service communicates with a service endpoint using privileged credentials for receiving tenant cluster-specific configuration information. The integration service generates access credentials for the new tenant cluster to communicate with the service provider. The integration service provides tenant cluster-specific configuration information and access credentials to the service controller for the deployment of the service in the new tenant cluster. The service controller deploys the service at the new tenant cluster and manages the lifecycle of the service at the new tenant cluster.

  • Patent number: 11663373
Abstract: Example systems and methods are disclosed for predicting structural distortion in a part geometry created by an additive manufacturing process. An octree mesh is generated for a part geometry based on a voxel file having voxel layers. The octree mesh is coarsened, a representation of stiffness for one of the voxel layers is generated based on the coarsened octree mesh, a force vector is determined based, in part, on the coarsened octree mesh and data from a thermal analysis of the part geometry, and a layer distortion is determined based, in part, on the force vector and the representation of stiffness. The structural distortion in the part geometry is predicted based on the layer distortion.

  • Patent number: 11645438
Abstract: Generating a template-driven schematic from a netlist of electronic circuits is disclosed. The template-driven schematic may be useful to generate a set of related circuits for a single overall design as well as allow for a common transfer mechanism between different Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems. To assist in portability of designs, a common file format is disclosed based on a structured text file (e.g., XML). Further, in the disclosed approach, it is possible to not only place primitives but create custom symbols as well. In addition, primitives and symbols may be attached to models, simulation settings may be added, and routing of the circuit in a schematic may be completed. Associated devices and methods are disclosed as well.

  • Publication number: 20230128446
Abstract: A method, system, and article of manufacture provide for multi-user collaboration on a three-dimensional (3D) design. The 3D design is acquired in a computer-aided design (CAD) application. A commenting process for a comment to be associated with a selected part of the 3D design is activated. Textual user input for the comment is dynamically processed as the comment is received. The processing recognizes that the text relates to creating or modifying the selected part, retrieves a list of alternative parts (based on similarities between the alternative parts and the selected part), and displays a graphic representation of an alternative part. An alternative part is selected and inserted in the comment as a proposed replacement part. The comment including the proposed replacement part is provided to another user.

  • Publication number: 20230104568
Abstract: In an example, a network controller for an SDN architecture system includes processing circuitry of a central cluster of first one or more compute nodes; a configuration node configured for execution by the processing circuitry; a control node configured for execution by the processing circuitry. The configuration node includes a custom API server to process requests for operations on custom resources for SDN architecture configuration. Each of the custom resources for SDN architecture configuration corresponds to a type of configuration object in the SDN architecture system. The control node, in response to detecting an event on an instance of a first custom resource of the custom resources, obtains configuration data for the instance of the first custom resource and configures a corresponding instance of a configuration object in a workload cluster of second one or more compute nodes. The first and second compute nodes may be distinct.

  • Publication number: 20230099199
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques to regenerate SYNC bits of a High-Speed data packet lost by the transmission envelope detector of a repeater/hub that interconnects electronic devices compliant with Universal Serial Bus (USB) Specification Revision 2.0 or higher. A physical layer logic (PHY) of a first port of the repeater/hub receives a High-Speed data packet to store a recovered bit stream into an elastic buffer. The recovered bit stream may lose some SYNC bits at the beginning of the SYNC pattern. The repeater/hub reads the recovered bit stream from the elastic buffer for transmission through the PHY of a second port. If the end of the SYNC is read before a programmable number of SYNC bits have been transmitted, the repeater/hub generates additional SYNC bits for transmission until the programmable number of SYNC bits are transmitted. The repeater/hub then resumes transmitting the rest of the High-Speed data packet starting from the payload.
