  • Patent number: 9831961
Abstract: An adaptive envelope tracking calibration module executes a routine to calibrate a radio frequency (RF) transmitter in a communication device comprising an envelope tracking system. The routine includes receiving a selection of a calibration target power that is greater than a desired output power of the RF transmitter and determining an output power estimate for the power amplifier as a supply voltage for the power amplifier varies according to an output of the envelope tracking system. The routine further includes adaptively adjusting the calibration target power when the output power estimate is not greater than the calibration target power.

  • Publication number: 20160260152
Abstract: The systems and methods disclosed herein can increase the speed and ease with which a user can discover compatible replacement parts for a specified model of a product by automatically determining when the user is interested in replacement parts. A replacement part system can conclude that a user is looking for replacement parts based on the user's search queries, the user's browsing behavior, or the user's prior purchases. By automatically deducing an intention to purchase a replacement part, the replacement part system can make it easier for a user to locate suitable replacement parts. In addition, the replacement part system can be configured to tailor listing set of replacement parts search results it provides to a user. The set of search results can be tailored based on a number of criteria to increase the speed with which the user finds a compatible replacement part.

  • Publication number: 20070187085
Abstract: The side tracking system includes a window mill having a full diameter cutting surface and a reduced diameter tapered cutting surface and a whipstock having a ramp engaging the reduced diameter cutting surface. The cutting tool has a body with diamond cutters initiating cutting of a steel casing, milling a window through the steel casing and drilling a secondary borehole. The materials of the whipstock have a first cutability and the materials of the casing have a second cutability. The reduced diameter cutting surface contacts the whipstock ramp at a first contact area and the full diameter cutting surface contacts the wall of the casing at a second contact area. As weight is applied to the mill, there is a first contact stress at the first contact area and a second contact stress at the second contact area. A cutability ratio is the first cutability divided by the second cutability and a contact stress ratio is the first contact stress divided by the second contact stress.

  • Publication number: 20070007043
Abstract: A cutting device for downhole operations comprises a first cutting structure, and a second cutting structure, wherein at least the second cutting structure is selectively presentable for operation. A method of performing a downhole cutting operation comprises running into a well bore a cutting device comprising a plurality of cutting structures, performing a first cutting operation with a first cutting structure of the cutting device, selectively presenting a second cutting structure of the cutting device, and performing a second cutting operation with at least the second cutting structure. The method may further comprise aligning the cutting device to allow the second cutting structure to be selectively presented.

  • Publication number: 20040003925
Abstract: A method of providing a protected lateral well junction is disclosed. A milling assembly and whipstock are run into a cased primary wellbore to a desired depth and orientation. An anchor and packer are set. A window is milled in the cased borehole and a lateral rat hole is drilled. The milling assembly is removed, and the window and rat hole are filled with a protecting material, thereby covering any rough or jagged edges of the window. A new hole is drilled in the protecting material, through the window and into the lateral rathole, slightly offset from the window edges that are isolated by the remaining protecting material.

  • Patent number: 6308140
Abstract: A method of detecting broken rotor bars including sensing currents applied to the motor, converting the senses signals to digital data signals, and storing the digital data signals. A processor evaluates the digital data to provide a current signal spectrum at various selected sidebands. Sideband peaks having an amplitude within a predetermined value are identified, indicating potential motor problems or developing problems, including winding faults and broken rotor bars. Advanced signal processing techniques are used to further evaluate stored data and to provide trending information.

  • Patent number: 4076278
Abstract: A flowline connector device for subsea well operations in which a connector means on the end of the flowline is moved laterally into position for connection to a fixed connector means on a subsea station. The connector means on the subsea station includes an axially movable mandrel located within a chamber in a body member, the mandrel having sealing surfaces at one end thereof juxtaposed to sealing surfaces on the flowline connector member when laterally positioned. A fluid pressure actuated locking means moves said sealing surfaces on the mandrel into sealed relationship with the sealing surfaces on the flowline connector member and locks the sealing surfaces in fluid tight sealed relation. A mechanical backup lock means for the mandrel is carried by the connector means on the subsea station for positively and unyieldingly mechanically locking the mandrel in fluid tight sealed relation. In the event of a drop in fluid pressure, leakage at the sealing surfaces is prevented by the mechanical locking device.
