The film comprises i) a substrate layer comprising a) a PVC film, optionally laminated with a PE film and, b) at least one layer of PVDC as a barrier layer; and ii) a base layer comprising a) a PVC film, optionally laminated with a PE film and, b) at least one layer of PVDC as a barrier layer, said base layer laminated to said substrate layer through an adhesive coat.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a multilayer cold-formable film carrying an image which comprises a first layer and a base layer laminated to the first layer and its preparation. The first layer comprises a peelable carrier, a coat of an ester acrylic based primer, a metallized layer, an adhesive coat embossed with an image of a pre-determined pattern. The present disclosure also provides a multi-layer cold-formed anti-counterfeit package.

Abstract: A process for preparing a bio-degradable PVC based pharmaceutical grade thermo-formable film. The film is stable in aerobic conditions and is bio-degradable under anaerobic conditions. The bio-degradable PVC based pharmaceutical grade film has application in the blister packing of pharmaceutical formulations.

Abstract: A method of making a customized packaging film for a pharmaceutical product is disclosed. The method is based on a packaging requirement needs for a particular product at various climatic conditions based on the various properties of a group of packaging materials. The method involves evaluating the sensitivity of a pharmaceutical product towards various environment factors and inherent factors, quantification of the sensitivity parameters, determining the threshold values of the sensitivity parameters for a pre defined shelf life; determining threshold values of barrier properties of various packaging materials, determining physical properties of packaging material and selecting a packaging material and its thickness which matches the product requirement.
