  • Patent number: 11959825
Abstract: A method for monitoring a rotating equipment through a condition monitoring device is performed in every predetermined time period after every predetermined time interval. The method comprises detecting presence of vibration in rotating equipment based on a signal associated with vibration in the rotating equipment. The signal is measured with one or more sensors of the plurality of sensors. Upon detecting presence of vibration, a predefined number of samples associated with the vibration is acquired at a first frequency. A Root Mean Square (RMS) value of vibration is calculated using predefined number of samples. The calculated RMS value of vibration is compared with a reference value for detecting an operating status, which is stored for every predetermined time interval. Thereafter, the method comprises processing the stored information to assess a condition of the rotating equipment.

  • Patent number: 11680864
Abstract: The present invention relates to a condition monitoring device and method for monitoring an electrical machine. The method includes obtaining, at periodic instants, measurements from sensors of the condition monitoring device, where each sensor is one of a magnetometer and an accelerometer. The method also includes comparing, for one or more instants, amplitude data of the measurements with condition monitoring data, wherein the comparison is performed for the amplitude data in one or more axes and at one or more frequencies. The condition monitoring data includes a relation between a plurality of parameters, a plurality of conditions and a plurality of frequencies. The method additionally includes detecting a condition and at least one parameter associated with the condition, based on the comparison. According to the detection, the method includes utilizing the measurements of the at least one parameter for determining a health condition of the electrical machine.

  • Publication number: 20230184834
Abstract: A method of monitoring joint and contact conditions in an automatic transfer switch includes: collecting electrical signals at a plurality of measurement locations associated with a plurality of power sources and a load over a predetermined period, the electrical signals including voltages and load current; obtaining deltas between source voltages and corresponding load voltage measured at the measurement locations over the predetermined period; comparing the deltas with thresholds obtained during healthy condition; determining that the deltas fall outside of the thresholds; and in response to determining that the deltas fall outside of the threshold, transmitting an alert to a user, the alert indicating a detection of one or more failure modes at the measurement locations.
