Abstract: A syringe includes a barrel having first and second ends, with the barrel defining an interior space and a stopper positioned therein, the stopper moveable within the interior space relative to the barrel, a plunger connected to the stopper, and a collar having threads configured to engage threads of a medical connector. The collar is at least partially received by the barrel, with one of the barrel and the collar defining a slot and the other of the barrel and the collar having a pin received within the slot. The collar has a connection position where the collar is fixed relative to the barrel when the syringe is being connected to the medical connector, a disconnection position where the collar is fixed relative to the barrel when the syringe is being disconnected from the medical connector, and a reuse prevention position wherein the collar is rotatable relative to the barrel.

Abstract: A display case including a frame with a first fastener, a door with a second fastener, and a bracket coupling the door to the frame is described. The bracket has a first end coupled a second end. The first end is pivotably coupled to the frame by the first fastener. The first end includes a first pair of spring arms having a first slot to couple to the first fastener and to allow the door to pivot between open and closed positions. The second end is slideably coupled to the door by the second fastener. The second end has detents on a second pair of spring arms and a second slot to allow the second fastener of the door to slide as the door is pivoted between open and closed positions. A first detent is positioned further from the first end of the bracket than a second detent.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine-readable media facilitate adaptive multi-system operations. Electronic communications from resource-controlling systems and/or monitoring devices may be monitored to identify signals corresponding to processes performed by the resource-controlling systems, resource capacities of resources controlled by the resource-controlling systems, and states of the resource-controlling systems. System interactions that correspond to a defined event may be detected. A protocol that includes parameter constraints mapped to the defined event identified. Operating conditions of the resource-controlling systems and/or metrics of processes performed may be determined based on the monitoring. A subset of the resource-controlling systems may be identified as a function of the operating conditions and/or the metrics. A resource-controlling system may be caused to allocate corresponding resources and perform the processes in accordance with the protocol.

Abstract: A syringe includes a barrel having a proximal end, a distal end having a distal tip defining a channel, and a sidewall extending between the proximal end and the distal end. The syringe also includes a tip cap removably connected to the distal tip of the barrel restricting fluid flow from the channel. The tip cap includes a connector configured to receive the distal tip of the barrel forming a friction engagement with the distal tip, a cap shield connected to and extending about the connector, and a release tab extending proximally from the cap shield that secures the tip cap to the barrel. A prefilled flushing syringe including a predetermined volume of a fluid disposed within the barred of the syringe, as well as methods for expulsion of fluid from the syringe and of assembling the syringe and tip cap are also disclosed herein.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to control auditing devices, comprising a communications interface to transmit first auditing instructions to the auditing devices, a sampling frequency determiner to collect sampling information corresponding to a first number of stores at a first time, a a sample size determiner to calculate a second number of stores to sample based on the sampling information, and when a difference between the first number of stores and the second number of stores satisfies a threshold, improve an accuracy in the sampling information by calculating second auditing instructions having an updated sampling frequency.

Abstract: A system includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor receives a user credential associated with a first user and authorizes an avatar of the first user to enter a virtual environment. When the first user is registered with a first entity, the processor obtains a user profile of the first user. Based on the user profile, the processor determines and indicates to the first user in the virtual environment that a first type of data file of the first user qualifies the first user to obtain a product or service for a first amount of data objects. The processor receives a selection of the product of service from the first user, receives a command to transfer the first amount of data objects from the first type of data file to a second data file, and transfers the first amount to the second data file.

Abstract: A cap configured to engage different types of female connectors includes a housing having a closed bottom, an open top, and a sidewall extending between the top and the bottom with threads on an inner surface of the sidewall. The cap also includes a sleeve disposed in the housing with threads engaged to the threads of the housing configured to rotate relative to the housing, thereby moving the sleeve through the housing, and a gripper disposed at least partially in the sleeve having at least one flexible leg pressed radially inward by the sleeve as the sleeve moves through the housing. The cap also includes an absorbent support disposed in the gripper configured to clean and/or disinfect portions of the female connector.

Abstract: A technique monitors input/output (I/O) and Persistent Reservation (PR) activity patterns to detect degraded performance of a highly available and fault tolerant application executing in a multi-site disaster recovery (DR) environment. Multiple instances of the application execute in different virtual machines (VMs) of a compute layer within a guest clustering configuration that extends across clusters of the sites. A storage layer of the clusters provides shared storage to the multiple VMs across the multiple sites. One of the sites is configured as an active storage site configured to receive and service I/O requests from the compute layer. A single instance of the application is active at a time and configured as a “compute owner” of the shared storage to issue the I/O requests to the shared storage. The compute owner and active storage site may not be co-located on the same site, leading to excessive I/O and PR activity patterns indicative of degraded performance.

Abstract: A system for capturing a 3D image of a subject includes a detection device which is structured to capture images of the subject and surrounding environment, a projection device which is structured to provide a source of structured light, and a processing unit in communication with the detection device and the projection device. The processing unit is programmed to: analyze an image of the subject captured by the detection device; modify one or more of: the output of the projection device or the intensity of a source of environmental lighting illuminating the subject based on the analysis of the image; and capture a 3D image of the subject with the detection device and the projection device using the modified one or more of the output of the projection device or the intensity of the source of environmental lighting illuminating the subject.

Abstract: A syringe with an integrated vein finder is disclosed, which illuminates a potential venipuncture site of a patient and identifies a vein that is suitable for venipuncture with the syringe, for blood collection or intravenous drug administration. The syringe portion of the system includes a syringe barrel and a pointed-tip needle projecting from the distal end of the barrel for venipuncture. An illumination module is coupled to the syringe barrel; it has an illumination source that projects an electromagnetic beam into an illumination zone distal the syringe's pointed tip, for illuminating and identifying a subcutaneous vein. The integrated vein finder and syringe system is operable by a sole clinician, such as a phlebotomist, who can easily manipulate the syringe and illuminate the venipuncture site with one hand, without assistance of another clinician.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods for providing angular snapping guides to efficiently, accurately, and flexibly align user interactions and editing operations to existing angular linear segments of digital design objects in a digital design document. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems determine target angular linear segments for presentation of angular snapping guides by generating angular bin data structures based on orientation and signed distances of angular linear segments within the digital design document. Accordingly, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems can efficiently search these angular bin data structures based on angles and signed distances corresponding to user interactions.

Abstract: Modified-release pharmaceutical compositions of ruxolitinib or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof are disclosed. Preferably, the invention relates to oral modified-release pharmaceutical compositions of ruxolitinib, which enable once-daily administration. Oral modified-release compositions of ruxolitinib, methods for their administration, processes for their preparation, and use of these compositions for treatment of diseases treatable by ruxolitinib are also described.

Abstract: Offset object alignment operations are described that support an ability to control alignment operations to aid positioning of an object in relation to at least one other object in a user interface based an offset value. This is performable through identification of objects that overlap along an axis in a user interface and calculation of offset values using these object pairs. Filtering and priority based techniques are also usable as part of calculated an offset value to be used as part of an alignment operation.

The method for suggesting at least one modality of interaction, includes: identifying, by an electronic device, initiation of an interaction by a user with a first device using a first modality; detecting, by the electronic device, an intent of the user and a state of the user based on the identified initiated interaction; determining, by the electronic device, at least one of a second modality and at least one second device, to continue the initiated interaction, based on the detected intent of the user and the detected state of the user; and providing, by the electronic device, a suggestion to the user to continue the interaction with the first device using the determined second modality, by indicating the second modality on the first device or the at least one second device.
