  • Publication number: 20240129835
Abstract: A mm wave radio communication mesh network comprises a wireless node apparatus comprising a plurality of wireless modems (103) and a configuration controller (307) arranged to perform a node configuration arranged to configure the wireless modems (103) as access point wireless modems or non-access point wireless modems. The configuration controller (307) determines a set of access point wireless modems that have no connection and control them to scan for access point beacons. It then controls a wireless modem that has detected an access point beacon to connect to the access point wireless modem transmitting the beacon. If the connection is successful, the configuration controller (307) proceeds to configure the wireless modem as a non-access point wireless modem and otherwise it is configured as an access point wireless modem.

  • Patent number: 9084211
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for coverage matching in heterogeneous wireless communication networks are provided. The base station may adjust its receiver sensitivity to match the uplink and downlink coverage. In some implementations, the base station may transmit parameters reflecting its receiver sensitivity capability to a control entity. The control entity determines the required receiver sensitivity for the base station and transmits the receiver sensitivity adjustment information to the base station. The base station may adjust its receiver sensitivity based on the receiver sensitivity adjustment information. In some implementations, the base station may exchange its receiver sensitivity information with other base stations and adjust its receiver sensitivity based on information received from other base stations.

  • Publication number: 20140200001
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for a radio resource management (RRM) decision in wireless communication network are provided. In particular, post-processing metric is introduced in RRM decision making. Certain aspects of the disclosure involve, a method, performed at a user equipment (UE) of a wireless communications network. The method includes receiving a reference signal from a network node, processing the reference signal based on a receiver processing algorithm, identifying a post-processing metric based at least in part on the received reference signal, and triggering a mobility event based at least in part on the post-processing metric.

  • Publication number: 20130272221
Abstract: Methods and devices for exchanging data in a communications network. The present invention refers to a method of exchanging data in a communications network, the method including establishing a plurality of connections between a network device and a mobile station; splitting a flow of data from a data source into a plurality of data flows corresponding to a number of said connections; and transmitting each of said plurality of data flows over a different one of said connections. The present invention further refers to a network device and a mobile station involved in the disclosed method.
