    Abstract: A method to improve the updating of firmware in a firmware updating system, uses serially-sent data packets containing the update and data. The firmware updating system includes storage, including an expander/switch, a baseboard manager controller (BMC), and a storage interface. A universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter (UART) for serial communication in the expander/switch is initialized and firmware updating instruction is sent to the expander/switch by the BMC. The firmware data packets are sent to the expander/switch by the BMC. A serial instruction to reset is sent to the expander/switch by the BMC and the BMC ends a communication with the UART serial. A firmware updating system applying the method is also provided.

Remote driving control can be engaged based on determination, via processing vehicle sensor data, of a health emergency associated with one or more occupants of the vehicle, and the remote control system can generate remote driving commands which cause the vehicle to be navigated to a particular location without requiring the occupant associated with the health emergency to manually navigate the vehicle. The remote control system can monitor the occupant via communicated vehicle sensor data and can control remote control devices included in the vehicle to provide external indication that the vehicle is being navigated according to remote driving control.

    Abstract: A vehicle can include an on-board data processing system that receives sensor data captured by various sensors of the vehicle. As a vehicle travels along a route, the on-board data processing system can process the captured sensor data to identify a potential vehicle stop. The on-board data processing system can then identify geographical coordinates of the location at which the potential vehicle stop occurred, use artificial intelligence to classify a situation of the vehicle at the potential stop, and determine whether the stop was caused by a road obstacle, such as a speed bump, a gutter, an unmarked crosswalk, or any other obstacle not at an intersection. If the stop was caused by the road obstacle, the on-board data processing system can generate virtual stop or yield line data corresponding to the identified geographic coordinates and transmit this data to a server over a network for processing.

The curable silicone composition comprises: (A) a silicone base material comprising: an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkoxysilyl-containing groups per molecule and a filler other than fumed silica; (B) a hydrophobic fumed silica; (C) a carbasilatrane derivative; (D) an alkoxysilane or its partial hydrolysis and condensation product; and (E) a condensation reaction catalyst. The method comprises the following steps: (I) mixing components (A) and (B); (II) mixing component (C) with a mixture obtained by step (I); and (III) mixing components (D) and (E) with a mixture obtained by step (II) under free of moisture. The curable silicone composition obtained by the method has an excellent thixotropic property and can cure at room temperature by contact with moisture in air.

The nanoparticles are annealed at ambient temperatures to yield soft nanoparticles with targeted particle size, saturation magnetization and coercivity. The chemical composition, crystal structure and homogeneity are controlled at the atomic level. The CoFe magnetic nanoparticles have Ms of 200-235 emu/g, (Hc) coercivity of 18 to 36 Oe and size range of 5-40 nm.

The system then assigns each data point of the plurality of data points to a pillar in the plurality of pillars. The system generates a pseudo-image based on the plurality of pillars. The pseudo-image includes, for each pillar of the plurality of pillars, a corresponding feature representation of data points assigned to the pillar. The system detects the plurality of objects based on an analysis of the pseudo-image. The system then operates the vehicle based upon the detecting of the objects.
