  • Patent number: 11916379
Abstract: This disclosure involves verifying that a power network model corresponds to an electric power network providing electrical power in a geographical area. For instance, a validation device computes a validation score for a power network model based on a connectivity score, an asset score, and a power-flow score. The connectivity score indicates connectivity errors in the power network model as compared to the power network. The asset score indicates power-delivery errors in the power network model with respect to power-consuming assets serviced by the power network. The power-flow score indicates power-flow calculation errors in the power network model with respect to voltage ranges for the power network. The validation score is repeatedly computed for iteratively updated versions of the power network model until a threshold validation score is obtained. The validated power network model is provided to a control system for identifying and correcting errors in the power network.

  • Patent number: 9158035
Abstract: Significant changes in monitored and reported operational parameters and/or power outage events occurring in a utility's electrical power transmission/distribution grid are correlated with historical, current and/or forecast weather events based on potential root cause, geographic and temporal constraints. Operational event and outage information is collected and time-stamped using a communication network of devices and sources that monitor and report, among other things, equipment parameters, electric power availability and outages. A computer-implemented root cause analysis engine (RCA) operatively associated with a computer-implemented weather data correlation engine sorts and analyzes operational parameter/event information and identifies probable correlations to localized weather phenomenon.

  • Publication number: 20130102333
Abstract: A method to dispatch utility repairs. The method may include displaying directions to a location of a first work assignment on an electronic device. The directions may update as the electronic device changes location. The method may also include displaying items to complete at least a portion of the first work assignment. The items may be displayed when the electronic device location is substantially the same as the first work assignment location. The method may include detecting at least one operator acknowledgment of completion after the portion of the first work assignment is complete or after all portions of the first work assignment are complete. The method may also include displaying directions to a location of a second work assignment when the electronic device detects that all portions of the first work assignment are complete.

  • Publication number: 20120290103
Abstract: Systems and methods for use in operating utility equipment that includes a plurality of controllable components. A computing device determines that a first controllable component of a plurality of controllable components is ineligible for an actuation based at least in part on operating conditions associated with the controllable components. A disregard indicator representing that the first controllable component is ineligible for the actuation is associated with the first controllable component by the computing device. An operation enhancement algorithm is executed by the computing device to determine a desired operation of the controllable components. The first controllable component is excluded from the operation enhancement algorithm based on the disregard indicator.

  • Patent number: 6504757
Abstract: A method for boosting potential in the channel of unselected memory cells on a selected bit-line. In this method, a first voltage is applied to all the word-lines of the memory cells in the string. A second voltage is then applied to word-lines adjacent the selected word lines to isolate the selected memory cell. Next, a programming voltage is applied to the selected word-line. In one embodiment, a time delay is applied between applying the second voltage and applying the third voltages to ensure isolation of the selected memory cell before applying the third voltage.
