  • Publication number: 20240046498
Abstract: Provided herein are methods and systems for determining joint information, such as joint angle and range of movement, quickly and accurately without using cumbersome, specialized equipment even when visibility to the joint may be limited. Such methods and systems may be achieved by using computationally efficient approaches that are accurate and robust enough to handle noises and occlusions. The methods and systems provided herein may provide quick, low-cost, on-demand approaches to obtain information about the joint health of a patient. The joint angle information may facilitate diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and/or rehabilitation of the patient from a joint injury, pain, or discomfort by providing quick, actionable information to the healthcare provider.

  • Publication number: 20080288955
Abstract: A system for managing preferences in a portlet container. In response to receiving remote preferences for a portlet, the remote preferences are merged with default preferences for the portlet to form a preference set for the portlet. In response to receiving user preferences for the portlet, the user preferences are merged with the preference set to form an effective preference set for the portlet. The portlet is manipulated according to the effective preference set to form a manipulated portlet. Then, the manipulated portlet is rendered.

  • Patent number: 6251312
Abstract: New methods for producing intraocular lenses (IOLs) include a combination of steps which provide outstanding pull strength between the fixation member of the IOL and the optic of the IOL without requiring the lens body region of the fixation member to have enlarged anchor structures. In one embodiment, the present methods include providing an optic member having a recess; providing a fixation member having a lens bonding region free of enlarged anchor structures; placing the lens bonding region into the recess; and thereafter doing at least one of reducing the size of the recess and increasing the cross-sectional area of the lens bonding region. The lens bonding region of the fixation member is thereby secured to the optic member.
