Patent number: 12003954Abstract: An audio system and a method of determining an audio filter based on a position of an audio device of the audio system, are described. The audio system receives an image of the audio device being worn by a user and determines, based on the image and a known geometric relationship between a datum on the audio device and an electroacoustic transducer of the audio device, a relative position between the electroacoustic transducer and an anatomical feature of the user. The audio filter is determined based on the relative position. The audio filter can be applied to an audio input signal to render spatialized sound to the user through the electroacoustic transducer, or the audio filter can be applied to a microphone input signal to capture speech of the user by the electroacoustic transducer. Other aspects are also described and claimed.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2022Date of Patent: June 4, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Vignesh Ganapathi Subramanian, Antti J. Patent number: 12001191Abstract: A system and method for performing real-time quality inspection of objects is disclosed. The system and method include a transport to move objects being inspected, allowing the inspection to be performed in-line. At least one optical acquisition unit is provided that captured optical images of the objects being inspected. The captured optical images are matched to CAD models of objects, and the matched CAD model is extracted. A laser with an illumination light beam has a wavelength in the violet or ultraviolet range then conducts scans of the objects, which are formed into three-dimensional point clouds. The point clouds are compared to the extracted CAD models for each object, where CTF are compared to user input or CAD model information and the object is determined to be acceptable or defective based on the extent of deviation between the point cloud and the CAD model.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2021Date of Patent: June 4, 2024Assignee: KODAK ALARIS INC.Inventors: Bruce A. Patent number: 11999166Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for enhanced flushing of printing systems. One embodiment is a printing system that includes an ink flushing controller. The ink flushing controller is able to identify an overlap region wherein nozzles at adjacent printheads of a marking engine overlap along a widthwise direction, to detect primary nozzles that print image data within the overlap region, and to detect overlap nozzles that do not have firing instructions to eject ink within the overlap region. The ink flushing controller is further able to analyze nozzle firing data for each overlap nozzle to determine inactive firing spans for each overlap nozzle, and in response to determining that an inactive firing span for an overlap nozzle exceeds a threshold, to generate a firing instruction directing the overlap nozzle to eject ink.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2022Date of Patent: June 4, 2024Assignee: Ricoh Company, Ltd.Inventors: Walter F.
