  • Publication number: 20240191149
Abstract: A system for processing plastic waste may include a feed line, a feed fractionator, a hydrotreater, a catalytic reforming unit, a heavy oil cracker, and a steam cracker. A pyrolyzed plastics feed is separated into light, medium, and heavy hydrocarbon streams. The hydrotreater removes sulfur, and the catalytic reforming unit produces a circular aromatic-rich stream. The heavy oil cracker generates cracked streams. The steam cracker produces a circular olefin stream from a cracked stream. A system for processing plastic waste may include the feed line, the feed fractionator, the hydrotreater, a medium hydrocarbon fractionator, the catalytic reforming unit, a full-range reforming unit, the heavy oil cracker, and the steam cracker. The medium hydrocarbon fractionator produces two hydrocarbon streams. The full-range naphtha reforming unit produces a second circular aromatic-rich stream.

  • Patent number: 12005912
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling a self-propelled work vehicle comprising a work attachment and at least left and right ground engaging units driven by respective first and second drivetrains. Upon determining transition from a first operating mode to a second operating mode (e.g., creep mode), the method includes selectively derating at least a portion of the drivetrain speed commands corresponding to propulsion of the work vehicle (e.g., the average of left and right track speeds), independent of a portion of the drivetrain speed commands corresponding to steering (e.g., the difference between the track speeds). The derate value may optionally be applied only to propulsion commands that produce forward motion, and not for reverse motion. Separate (non-zero) derate settings may optionally be provided for reverse and/or steering functions. Derate functionality may optionally be implemented upon detecting particular types (e.g. dozer) of attachments, or an associated work state.

  • Publication number: 20240143195
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods related to memory authentication. Memory devices can be authenticated utilizing authentication codes. An authentication code can be generated based on information stored in a fuse array of the memory device. The authentication code can be stored in the memory device. The stored authentication code can be compared to a captured authentication code based on fuse array information broadcast to memory components of the memory device. The authenticity of the memory device can be determined based on the comparison and can result in placing the memory device in an unlocked state.

  • Patent number: 11942217
Abstract: A system including a range of motion, quality of sleep, overall, and control modules. The range of motion module, prior to a procedure being performed on a patient, determines a first range of motion score of the patient based on a first signal generated by a sensor. The quality of sleep module, prior to the procedure being performed on the patient, determines a first quality of sleep score or a first pain score based on the first signal. The overall module determines a combined score based on the first range of motion score and the first quality of sleep score or the first pain score. The control module compares the combined score to a predetermined threshold and predicts an outcome of the procedure based on the comparison. The control module, based on the combined score, determines whether to perform the procedure, adjust the procedure or refrain from performing the procedure.

  • Publication number: 20230047415
Abstract: A laser projection system is provided that includes at least one pickoff element or pickoff interface that redirects a portion of input laser light toward one or more photodetectors for purposes such as laser output power monitoring. An interface of a given pickoff element or a given pickoff interface uses Fresnel reflection to redirect the input laser light. The Fresnel reflection occurs due to a difference in indices of refraction between two materials that meet to form that interface. In some embodiments, a pickoff element is disposed in an optical path between a beam combiner and an optical scanner of the system. The pickoff element can be a plate beamsplitter, a cube beamsplitter, or a prism. In some embodiments, at least one pickoff interface is provided between two or more substrates of the beam combiner, the substrates that form a given pickoff interface having different respective indices of refraction.

  • Patent number: 11102290
Abstract: A method for transferring digital content items in a peer-to-peer network in which a plurality of nodes participate includes receiving requests for receipt of one or more digital content items from a plurality of requesting nodes belonging to the peer-to-peer network. A capacity of the requesting nodes to upload data is assessed. Network resources available to the peer-to-peer network for delivering the digital content items or chunks thereof to the receiving nodes are allocated based at least in part on the capacity of the requesting nodes to upload data. The digital content items or chunks thereof are sent to the requesting nodes over the peer-to-peer network in accordance with the network resources that are allocated to each of the requesting nodes.

  • Patent number: 11020653
Abstract: Acquiring an interactive digital content item including a plurality of content portions includes receiving a first set of the content portions that is less than an entirety of the content portions. A partial functionality version of the interactive digital content item is presented using the first set of content portions. A second set of the content portions is received while the partial functionality version of the interactive digital content item is presented. Functionality is added to the partial functionality version of the interactive digital content item using the second set of content portions without interrupting presentation of the partial functionality version of the interactive digital content item.

  • Patent number: 10802190
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for making and using curved holographic optical elements (“HOEs”) are described. A hologram to apply a first optical power to playback light may be embedded in an internal volume of a curved lens, where the curved lens has a first curvature to apply a second optical power to the playback light and a second curvature opposite the first curvature to define the internal volume of the curved lens. The first optical power may be equal in magnitude and opposite in sign to the second optical power. The curved HOEs described herein are particularly well-suited for use when integrated with a curved eyeglass lens to form the transparent combiner of a virtual retina display.

  • Patent number: 10738794
Abstract: A technique employs a system and methodology for improving sand control in pumps. The technique may be used in centrifugal pumps by providing uniquely constructed rib feature to facilitate sand control and thus reduction of erosion due to sand in the pumped fluid. The improved sand control is useful in centrifugal pumps employed in a variety of oilfield applications, such as in electric submersible pumping systems positioned downhole in a wellbore to pump oil or other fluids. The rib feature may be used in combination with a shield and arranged along diffuser bowl walls or other diffuser walls within sequential pump stages.
