  • Patent number: 11978058
Abstract: Systems and methods provide customers with a need-based warranty using a deep learning neural network. After categorizing, a customer need is mapped to a warranty type based on the SLA needs. Warranties may then be suggested based on customer need. In another embodiment, systems and methods detect an optimal warranty based on part failure and performance of a server. A mean time to resolve or replace can be minimized in future failure instances by comparing the derived replacement time with available warranty offerings to identify potential deviations and thereby recommend an optimal warranty from the available offerings. In a further embodiment, systems and methods identify and offer additional service contracts for vender services. A warranty proposer looks for warranty types that are emitted by a warranty-types analyzer and by a technical-support analyzer. The overlapping warranty offers are provided to customers.

  • Publication number: 20200192442
Abstract: A communication device, method, and computer program product monito, by a controller, respective temperatures of two or more antennas of the communication device. A first antenna of the two or more antennas has a first temperature. A modem of the communication device transmits data to the first antenna. The controller compares each of the respective temperatures to a corresponding temperature threshold. In response to determining that the first temperature exceeds the temperature threshold, the controller determines whether at least one second antenna of the two or more antennas has an associated second temperature that is less than a corresponding second temperature threshold. In response to determining that at least one second antenna has a second temperature that is less than the corresponding second temperature threshold, the controller selects a second antenna from among the at least one second antenna and switches data transmission to the selected second antenna.

  • Patent number: 10614771
Abstract: A method, a system, and a computer program product for managing image quality of an electronic display. The method includes identifying a visual content encoded in a first color space that is to be presented on an electronic display. The method further includes identifying, for the electronic display, a color profile that specifies color tristimulus values for the electronic display that are expressed as a function of temperature. The method further includes determining a current temperature of the electronic display and applying the color profile to the visual content to create a modified visual content for presentation on the electronic display. The method further includes rendering the modified visual content by the electronic display and adjusting, during rendering of the modified visual content, the color tristimulus values of the modified visual content in real-time based on the current temperature.

  • Patent number: 10600388
Abstract: A method, a mobile device, and a computer program product for managing display brightness of a mobile device. The method includes detecting a first temperature value of a mobile device and determining, by a processor, if the first temperature value is greater than a threshold temperature value. In response to determining that the first temperature value is greater than the threshold temperature value, video data is retrieved for several video frames. The method further includes determining if the video data contains a transition from a first video frame to a second video frame that includes a change in light level that is greater than a light level threshold. In response to determining that the video data contains the change in light level, the display is triggered to reduce a first light level associated with the second video frame to a second light level when the second video frame is displayed.

  • Patent number: 10401478
Abstract: Various embodiments transmit a radio-frequency (“RF”) beam using two or more RF antennas of a mobile device, e.g. a mobile phone. The RF signals that make up the RF beam are selected to create an emission pattern associated with object detection. Some of the RF antennas can be multi-purpose, where in addition to transmitting the RF beam, the antennas are used for RF communications. Upon receiving a reflected radiation pattern of the RF beam from an object, the reflected radiation pattern is analyzed to identify characteristics of the object. Depending upon what characteristics have been identified, one or more actions can be automatically performed.
