    Abstract: A biconical antenna is used to measure the intensity of incident RF electrical fields. The antenna comprises a pair of aligned rods with wires distributed around the rods to define conical cavities around each of the rods. A ferrite choke surrounds each of the rods within the conical cavities to choke off residence within the cavities.
