Abstract: A mobile device mounting system includes a device case and a mount. The device case includes: an insert including a rectangular bore and defining a set of undercut sections about the rectangular bore; and a first set of magnetic elements arranged in a first pattern about the rectangular bore. The mount includes: a body; a polygonal boss extending from the body and configured to insert into the rectangular bore; a set of locking jaws arranged on the polygonal boss configured to transiently mate with the set of undercut sections to constrain the polygonal boss within the rectangular bore; and a second set of magnetic elements arranged in a second pattern about the polygonal boss and configured to transiently couple to the first set of magnetic elements to transiently retain the mount against the device case and to drive the set of locking jaws toward the set of undercut sections.

The method can involve detecting hovering of a pointer icon over the backward navigation button and responsively presenting a thumbnail of a resource associated with the backward navigation button.

A placeholder object can be a real filing system object, which may be processed by the filing system in the same manner as any other filing system object, and can include filing system data such as file metadata. The metadata may be associated with an expected source for the document file (e.g., for automatic capture of a paper document from a scanner).

The history presentation setting and navigation context can be selected by a user. Exemplary history presentation settings include chronological and domain-name grouped. Exemplary navigation context includes resource identifier, such as name, URI, or domain of the currently viewed resource. The method may further include presenting a thumbnail when a pointer icon is positioned over one of the resource identifiers.
