  • Patent number: 7056410
Abstract: Conventional media receives print imaging and an adhesive during a printing operation thereby converting such conventional media into a label, i.e., media having print imaging and an adhesive for application to a contact or display surface. Print imaging is applied in conventional fashion. Adhesive is applied as taken from a reel-form stock including in various embodiments and configurations protective backing sheets and the like supporting application of adhesive to media to produce as output labels on arbitrarily selected media. As a result, users produce labels from arbitrary media and need not limit selection to commercially available label-making media.

  • Publication number: 20030079383
Abstract: Identification tag media originates in reel-form and feeds through a conventional inkjet printer. A modified media infeed tray holds a reel of such identification tag media positioned for collection by the printer media transport mechanism. The identification tag media passes by the inkjet print head to receive print imaging thereon in the form of identification indicia. Thus, length segments of identification tag media may be severed into identification tag bracelets and coupled to users by encircling limbs and joining as by use of clasps.

  • Publication number: 20030082941
Abstract: Methods and systems for a coupling assembly. In one exemplary embodiment, an assembly can comprise a signal carrying component capable of being coupled with a corresponding receptacle. The assembly can further comprise a steerable component that has at least a portion of which is secured with the signal carrying component. A non-secured portion of the steerable component can be manipulated by a user from a first disposition generally adjacent a portion of the signal carrying component to a second non-adjacent disposition for steering the assembly into the receptacle.
