    Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods of manufacturing are described that provide a drop link and associated conveying system for item transport. An example conveying system includes a telescopic side guide that includes one or more sections and a plurality of drop links each supported by respective sections. Each drop link includes an extension mechanism that movably attaches the drop link to the section. Each extension mechanism allows translation of the drop link relative the respective section of the telescopic side guide between a retracted position and an extended position in which a portion of the drop link extends at least partially beyond an outer edge of the respective section of the telescopic side guide.
