    Abstract: A business method for creating, from a mortgage note, two negotiable collaterized debt instruments, each having a separate payment plan. The original mortgagee, or its assigns, use the method to alleviate the mortgagor's monthly payment burden thereby avoiding costly foreclosure proceedings that will result in an increase of inventory of non-performing assets. Additionally, the property values are preserved resulting in more stability. One of the resulting debt instruments with a first payment plan (non-toxic) maintains, or attempts to maintain, the original terms of the mortgage note, depending on market conditions, but reduces the monthly payments in proportion to the non-toxic to property value ratio. The toxic portion of the debt is deferred for a number of years at which time the principal and accrued interest is due. This secured payment plan is deferred. By that time the value of the property is expected to have increased.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and system for determining a billing structure for outputting documents using an image processing apparatus. If image data of the document includes color pixels, a billing structure is determined for each page based on an amount of color coverage. The marked color pixel locations of the image data to be output in the device dependent space are counted. Each color pixel location comprises at least one color plane. In some cases, a ratio of the count of the marked color pixel locations to a maximum number of pixel locations may be used to determine the amount on the page. Processing and determining a billing structure based on image data in the device dependent space, irrespective of the amount of ink/toner or color planes used, avoids charging a customer for color print job when only a small amount of color pixels are printed.

A system resource controller determines whether talk-around is possible for any two communication units intending to engage in a point-to-point communication link. Assignment of a talk-around repeater depends on the geographic locations of the two communication units, and a predetermined range criterion between them. In addition, the talk-around communication must not interfere with any existing talk-around communication already in the system. When talk-around communication is possible, an enabling communication grant is issued to the units, and the talk-around repeater's communication resources are assigned to support the link. Otherwise, a repeater for normal trunking is assigned.

    Abstract: A fluid displacement rotary machine is disclosed, more specifically a rotating piston compressor enclosed in a casing formed with a vent through which may freely enter the gas or vapor to be compressed. Radial cylinders are part of a rotor rotatably supported by a shaft co-axial with the rotor. The rotor is power-driven. The piston connecting rods rotate about a stud fixed to the casing and eccentric to the rotor. Each cylinder head includes a scoop rotating therewith and adapted to channel the gas or vapor into the cylinder head; and further includes a delivery pipe connected to a bore formed in the rotor supporting shaft which extends externally of one casing end wall. The cylinders and the pistons rotate in respective annular paths and yet the pistons make a reciprocating movement within their cylinders because of the eccentric mounting of the stud relative to the rotor axis.
