  • Patent number: 10579437
Abstract: Migrating a logical partition with a native logical port including establishing in the target computing system a target VIOS that includes a virtual network interface controller (vNIC) server, the vNIC server of the target VIOS coupled for data communications to a first target virtual adapter; copying the logical partition including a vNIC client to the target computing system; starting the logical partition; establishing, by the vNIC client of the logical partition, data communications with the vNIC server of the target VIOS, including performing I/O data communications between the logical partition and the first target virtual adapter; establishing a second logical port in the logical partition on the target computing system, including coupling for I/O data communications the second logical port to a second target virtual adapter; and performing I/O data communications from the logical partition to the second target virtual adapter through the second logical port.

  • Patent number: 9055103
Abstract: Provided is a method of creating a mashup application in a host device in communication with a peer device by sharing remote services. The method includes discovering a second device that uses a middleware remote service sharing mechanism within a network, wherein a mashup framework of a first device performs the discovering; analyzing functionalities of the first device and the second device, and determining one of the first device and the second device as a host device and the other of the first device and the second device as the peer device; transmitting a list of available mashup combinations to the host device, wherein the peer device performs the transmitting; and selecting a mashup combination that is to be formed from the list, wherein the host device performs the selecting.

    Assignee: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.
Inventors: Dong-shin Jung, Joe Antony Lawrence, Joo-yeol Lee, Raghavendra Malapati, Subramanian Krishnamoorthy, Vinoth Sasidharan
  • Patent number: 8549471
Abstract: The present invention provides an open application program interface (API) service. A method of providing the API service includes generating meta-data for executing an API, generating resource data for generating a mash-up of the API, generating description data corresponding to the API, the meta-data, and the resource data, and generating an API package comprising the API, the meta-data, the resource data, and the description data. Accordingly, mash-up contents can be easily generated from various types of APIs.
