  • Publication number: 20190266015
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-executable instructions for scheduling neural network workloads on an edge device. A performance model for each neural network model is received. Parameters for each neural network workload is determined based on an associated performance model. Processing core assignments are determined from a plurality of processing cores for each neural network workload based on the corresponding performance model and processing core utilization. Image streams are received and associated with a neural network workload. Each neural network workload is scheduled to run on the processing cores based on the processing core assignments.

  • Patent number: 9211065
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for transmitting relatively more critical information between devices using a first wireless technology and transmitting relatively less critical information using a second wireless technology more susceptible to interference than the first wireless technology. One example method generally includes performing an association with a second apparatus via a first wireless technology, wherein the first wireless technology requires proximity between the first and second apparatuses; communicating first information with the second apparatus via the first wireless technology, a second wireless technology, or a combination of both the first and second wireless technologies, while the first and second apparatuses are still in proximity; and communicating second information with the second apparatus via the second wireless technology.

  • Publication number: 20130322348
Abstract: In a channel switching scheme for wireless communication, when a wireless device transmitting and/or receiving user data of a first type via a first channel needs to switch to transmitting and/or receiving user data of a second type, a second channel is established for the second type of user data. To reduce latency and interference that may otherwise be associated with such a switch, at least one parameter for communicating on the second channel is sent over the first channel. The wireless device that receives the parameters(s) may immediately commence taking action to switch to the second channel. In addition, the wireless device that sent the parameter(s) may concurrently tear down the first channel while establishing the second channel.

  • Patent number: 8539496
Abstract: Method and apparatus for configuring systems implementing diverse platforms in a network is described. In one example, functional units of the systems are exposed to define abstract function signatures. A template is specified using at least one of the abstract function signatures to define at least one executable task. The template is translated into configuration data adapted to configure each of the system to collectively perform the at least one executable task. The configuration data is applied to the systems through a coupler layer adapted to interface with each of the diverse platforms.

  • Patent number: 5892916
Abstract: A system and method for network management, including a message handling process, having a network manager and at least one network element is described. The network management messaging system sends and receives multiple concurrent messages between the network element layer and the network management layer. Support of concurrent messaging greatly speeds and simplifies network management. A client request is received at a first managed object, at least part of the client request is fulfilled by a second managed object. A major row is created in response to receiving the client request, and a minor row associated with a managed object request sent to the second managed object. The minor row has an index that associates the minor row with the major row, and correlates a response to the managed object request with the client request.
