    Abstract: The present application relates to a medical hydrogel comprising nanofibrillar cellulose, wherein the content of nanofibrillar cellulose in the hydrogel is in the range of 1-3.5% (w/w), and the nanofibrillar cellulose comprises anionic nanofibrillar cellulose having an average fibril diameter of 200 nm or less, and to a method for preparing thereof.
