  • Publication number: 20230228606
Abstract: A measuring tube for a flow measuring means includes an essentially cylindrical measuring tube section that is composed of tantalum on at least the interior surface. At least one insert composed essentially of a noble metal is inserted into one of two end openings such that the interior surface of tantalum is in direct contact with the noble metal. In this way, hydrogen embrittlement of the measuring tube is very easily reduced. Further disclosed is a flow measuring device having a measuring tube of the invention as well as a method for producing such a measuring tube.

  • Patent number: 10591333
Abstract: In the method, a portion of the metal tube is placed in a lumen of a metal sleeve having a metal wall surrounding the lumen. The metal tube is placed in such a manner that an outer surface of the metal tube and an inner surface of the metal sleeve at least partially contact one another. The metal sleeve is affixed on the portion of the metal tube placed in its lumen for forming a metal tube, metal sleeve, composite system. The metal tube, metal sleeve, composite system, in turn, is placed in the passageway of the metal body in such a manner that an outer surface of the metal sleeve and an inner surface of the passageway at least partially contact one another, in order thereafter by plastically deforming at least the metal sleeve of the metal tube, metal sleeve, composite system placed in the passageway to form a force interlocking between the inner surface of the passageway and the outer surface of the metal sleeve.

  • Publication number: 20160313161
Abstract: In the method of the invention, a portion of the metal tube is placed in a lumen of a metal sleeve (30) having a metal wall surrounding the lumen. The metal tube is placed in such a manner that an outer surface of the metal tube and an inner surface of the metal sleeve at least partially contact one another. The metal sleeve is affixed on the portion of the metal tube placed in its lumen for forming a metal tube, metal sleeve, composite system (10/30). The metal tube, metal sleeve, composite system (10/30), in turn, is placed in the passageway of the metal body in such a manner that an outer surface of the metal sleeve and an inner surface of the passageway at least partially contact one another, in order thereafter by plastically deforming at least the metal sleeve of the metal tube, metal sleeve, composite system placed in the passageway to form a force interlocking between the inner surface of the passageway and the outer surface of the metal sleeve.

  • Patent number: 8667853
Abstract: Measuring transducer of vibration-type for a fluid flowing in a pipeline. The measuring transducer includes, in such case, a curved measuring tube for conveying the fluid, a counteroscillator having two counteroscillator arms, which are arranged on both sides of the measuring tube, and which, in each case, essentially follow the curve of the measuring tube, and which are coupled to one another in such a manner, that, during operation, they oscillate in phase with one another, and which are affixed to the measuring tube on the inlet side and outlet sides for forming corresponding coupling zones. The measuring transducer also includes an exciter mechanism, via which, during operation, the measuring tube and the counteroscillator are excitable to oscillations of opposite phase to one another.

  • Patent number: 7299699
Abstract: A composite system includes a first component, for instance of metal, and a second component extending at least partly through the first component along an imaginary longitudinal axis of the composite system. The second component contacts, with an at least partially curved, especially cylindrical, outer surface, an inner surface of the first component flushly such that the first component at least sectionally, at least partly, grips around the second component. Joining surfaces of the composite system, which are formed by the mutually contacting surfaces of the two components, are formed in such a manner that the two components exhibit contour portions in the area of these joining surfaces embodied as self-closing, peripheral surfaces. The contour portions fit at least partly into one another, to form a mechanical interference locking effective, at least in part, likewise in the direction of the longitudinal axis.
