  • Publication number: 20070297657
Abstract: The invention relates to the quantitative analysis and/or visualization of the relative motion of objects in particular of the relative motion of one or several objects inside a living entity, for instance the human body or a living cell. The invented system and method allow to quantify and visualize the motion of these objects with respect to the parts of the living entity, which can deform and move itself with respect to each other. Furthermore, the method allows to identify movements and deformations which correspond to situations with a particular meaning for the living entity, for instance predicting complications in a disease progress, etc. An important application is the analysis of motion and deformation of stent-grafts introduced after endovascular repair of aneurysms. Here, the occurrence of deformations leading to graft-limb occlusions and of migrations of the stent-graft leading to so-called endoleaks can be predicted in an early stage.

  • Publication number: 20060128986
Abstract: A process for preparing a catalyst which process comprises the steps of: (a) introducing a Group 8 metal compound onto a carrier, (b) converting a first portion of the Group 8 metal compound on the carrier into metallic species in a liquid phase reaction, and (c) subsequently converting a further portion of the Group 8 metal compound on the carrier into metallic species in a gas phase reaction; a catalyst which is obtainable by this process; and a process for preparing an alkenyl carboxylate comprising reacting a mixture comprising an olefin, a carboxylic acid and oxygen in the presence of the catalyst.

  • Patent number: 4693653
Abstract: The invention relates to a mounting element for a flat insulating body which is mounted on a thin-walled base, like the metal sheet of airduct. The element comprises a pin for perforating the insulating body and holding the body by a plate clamped on the pin and screw, the shaft of which is provided with a self-cutting thread and on the head of which, which as key engaging faces, the pin is sitting in alignment with the shaft.
