  • Patent number: 10868930
Abstract: A method provides for language selection on a shared local user interface, such as an interface for operating a printer that is used by multiple users having a variety of first languages. The method includes providing at least one mechanism on a shared local user interface for selection of one of an original set of languages for text to be displayed on the local user interface. One mechanism may include displaying text in each of the languages contemporaneously or sequentially. At a plurality of times, a respective user's selection of one of the original set of languages is received. Based on a plurality of user selections, a modified set of languages can be learned which is then used in place of the original set of languages when providing the at least one language selection mechanism at a subsequent time.

  • Publication number: 20190279152
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for tracking and recording package delivery data. In an example embodiment, a memory label can be provided, which includes micro-circuits printed on the memory label. Such micro-circuits include rewritable memory. The memory label is configured to include a pre-determined set of data regarding a package to be delivered in a delivery workflow. The pre-determined set of data is stored in the rewritable memory. The pre-determined set of data can be updated at each subsequent point in the delivery workflow to produce updated data about the package.

  • Patent number: 10104240
Abstract: The disclosure discloses methods and systems for managing an authentication device such as a card reader coupled to a multi-function device. The multi-function device includes a memory for storing information related to one or more users, one or more pre-authorized users and alert setting instructions. The multi-function device includes an authentication device, coupled to a universal serial bus peripheral port of the device, and configured for: receiving authentication information from a user via an input method. The multi-function device further includes a control system configured for authenticating the user to access the multi-function device for one or more functions, based on the authentication information. The control system is further configured for generating an alert for the one or more pre-authorized users when the authentication device is disconnected or is malfunctioned, and for transmitting the alert to the one or more pre-authorized users, for one or more pre-defined actions.

  • Patent number: 10097708
Abstract: A processor is electrically connected to a scanner, an electronic memory electrically, and a user interface (having a display screen). The display screen displays dimension input fields that identify dimensions of an item to be scanned using the scanner. The display screen also displays an option to reuse the most recently used input dimensions for the item to be scanned, and an option to select from a list of recently used input dimensions for the item to be scanned. The processor saves values of the dimension input fields in the electronic memory, upon the dimensions of an item to be scanned being identified by the user through the dimension input fields.
