Abstract: In some implementations, a server device may receive event-based data associated with a user device, wherein the user device is communicatively coupled with the server device via an access point within a physical environment. The server device may determine, using a model, a status of the user device that is based on the event-based data, wherein the model is configured based on historical event data associated with historical events involving a plurality of other user devices that are associated with the user device. The server device may determine, based on the status indicating that the user device has likely been abandoned within the physical environment, a location associated with the user device. The server device may perform an action associated with the user device and the location.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and electronic device for hierarchical communications are disclosed. A connection interface may send and receive a data task. A database may store a group of contact nodes. A processor may select a sub-group of contact nodes from the group of contact nodes based upon the data task and create a hierarchical communications tree from the sub-group of contacts based on the data task.
