  • Publication number: 20240009428
Abstract: A plug may be used to plug a proximal end of a flashback chamber or an adapter in an intravenous catheter assembly. The plug may provide air venting of the flashback chamber or the adapter. The plug may include a body and a neck portion extending from the body. The neck portion may include one or more air vent channels, which may be aligned with a longitudinal axis of the plug. The neck portion may include one or more transverse channels, which may provide air venting and/or blood collection in case of leakage of blood into the plug.

  • Patent number: 11066920
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for inspecting oilfield infrastructure components. Methods include estimating an optimal value for at least one excitation parameter for an acoustic excitation source to produce a guided wave of mixed multiple modes in the component; selecting at least one excitation parameter corresponding to an optimal simulated guided wave determined in dependence upon the application of waveform criteria to the time domain waveforms; and generating a guided wave in the tubular using the at least one optimal excitation parameter. Methods may include calculating a guided wave dispersion relation; modeling each of the plurality of simulated guided waves, wherein the modeling comprises generating a time domain waveform for each of a plurality of wave modes in dependence upon the acoustic excitation source; selecting the at least one excitation parameter corresponding to an optimal simulated guided wave determined in dependence upon the application of waveform criteria to the time domain waveforms.

  • Patent number: 10045276
Abstract: Techniques for determining network paths for voice calls include analyzing network path measurements of the network paths to determine historical network performance data for the network paths, and identifying a group of top-k network paths based on those network paths having better network performance data other network paths. A particular network path may be selected using various techniques, such as selecting the network path with the best historical network performance, selecting a network path by applying a multi-armed bandit algorithm to select the path from the group of top-k network paths, or selecting a network path at random. The selected network path may be used to by a source-destination pair of computing devices for a voice call, and a record of that voice call may be used to update network performance information for the particular network path.

  • Patent number: 8191560
Abstract: An upper rack vertical adjustment system for a dishwasher, including an upper rack first portion, and an upper rack second portion rotatably attached to the first portion to selectively create an opening in the bottom of the rack to provide clearance for items placed in the lower rack. For adjusting the height of the upper rack, a slidable member has two elongated arms extending therefrom each having a wheel attached at an end of the arms is provided on each side of the rack. For each slidable member, a plate is mounted to a portion of the upper rack and the said slidable member is pivotally mounted to the plate. A locking mechanism locks the slidable member in one of several predetermined positions.
