Publication number: 20230171674Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining whether a past throughput of past traffic communicated between a communication device and a communication network meets a first threshold value, resulting in a first determination; responsive to the first determination being that the past throughput meets the first threshold, transmitting an instruction to the communication device to restrict a first subsequent throughput of first subsequent traffic to no greater than a second threshold value; determining whether the first subsequent throughput has been restricted, resulting in a second determination; and responsive to the second determination being that the first subsequent throughput has not been restricted, taking one or more actions to enforce a second subsequent throughput of second subsequent traffic to no greater than a third threshold value, wherein the third threshold value is lower than the second threshold value. Other embodiments are disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 10, 2023Publication date: June 1, 2023Applicants: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P., Cricket Wireless LLCInventors: Sheldon Kent Meredith, Justin McNamara, Rajeev Garg, Mark Austin

Patent number: 11122003Abstract: Methods and apparatus for application agnostic federation service to facilitate cross connectivity of messaging and communications platforms are described. In an embodiment, a method is provided for operating a cross-messaging platform to communicate messages between a first user registered on a first messaging platform and a second user registered on a second messaging platform. The method includes registering the first user, receiving a request from the first user to connect with the second user, and sending an invitation to the second user to connect with the first user. The method also includes registering the second user if the second user accepts the invitation, and establishing a communication channel between the first messaging platform and the second messaging platform so that communication between the first and second users occur using the communication channel.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2018Date of Patent: September 14, 2021Assignee: Envite Inc.Inventors: Rajeev Garg, Lakshmanan Venugopalan

Patent number: 7512146Abstract: One embodiment pertains to a switching device which is configured to provide multicast traffic management in a layer 2 network without layer 3 devices A specific embodiment relates to a method of implementing IGMP multicasting in a layer 2 network. IGMP packets are snooped by multiple switches in the layer 2 network. IGMP query messages are generated by each of the multiple switches. IGMP join report messages are forwarded by each of the multiple switches to all ports on which a querier is present. Other embodiments are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2006Date of Patent: March 31, 2009Assignee: Garrettcom, Inc.Inventors: Dileep Sivasankaran, Frank S. Madren, Rajeev Garg

Patent number: 6283997Abstract: A process for producing a ceramic composite having a porous network. The process includes providing a photocurable ceramic dispersion. The dispersion consists of a photocurable polymer and a ceramic composition. The surface of the dispersion is scanned with a laser to cure the photocurable polymer to produce a photocured polymer/ceramic composition. The photocured composition useful as a polymer/ceramic composite, or the polymer phase can be removed by heating to a first temperature that is sufficient to burn out the photocured polymer. It is then heated to a second temperature that is higher than the first temperature and is sufficient to sinter the ceramic composition to produce a purely ceramic composition having a porous network. Preferably and more specifically, the process uses a stereolithographic technique for laser scanning. The process can form a high quality orthopedic implant that dimensionally matches the bone structure of a patient.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1998Date of Patent: September 4, 2001Assignees: The Trustees of Princeton University, Ethicon, Inc.Inventors: Rajeev Garg, Robert K. Prud'Homme, Ilhan A. Aksay, Victor F. Janas, Kevor S. TenHuisen, Shawn T. Huxel
