  • Patent number: 11641888
Abstract: A method and sensor for testing and evaluating a sports bra for a level of support provided by the sports bra includes selecting a sports bra and removably attaching one sensor to the wearer of the sports bra. The wearer of the sports bra completes an exercise regimen corresponding to a support level indicated for the sports bra and the vertical, lateral and backward/forward movement of a bust supported by or within the sports bra is measured with the single sensor. A largest change in movement in each of the vertical, lateral and backward/forward directions is calculated to determine the level of support actually provided by the sports bra for accurate labeling of the support level of the sports bra for accurately informing consumer purchasing.

  • Patent number: 11619573
Abstract: A method evaluating a strength of a textile for use in articles of clothing representative of normal wear and tear and comprising testing samples including the textile treated with an application of polyethylene, the untreated textile, and/or the textile being washed and dried one or more times; and/or where the textile has been conditioned. Each sample tested is weighed prior to and after abrasion resistance testing is conducted on each sample. The samples are each abraded with an abrasion resistance testing machine that has been modified with ISO test heads and an abrasive surface having a plurality of abrasion layers thereon. A number of rubs of abrasion between the abrasive surface and the test sample is pre-selected such that the test is run until the selected number of rubs have been completed. A bursting strength test can be further conducted on abraded areas of the testing samples.

  • Patent number: 11047088
Abstract: A method of and device for testing and a scale for evaluating a textile for use in an article of clothing constructed of the textile. The method comprises positioning a textile sample within a path of a generated beam of light and measuring the amount of photons absorbed when the light is transmitted through the sample. The amount of light transmitted through the sample is compared to a standardized scale for evaluating the amount of coverage provided by the sample for the textiles fitness for use in the article of clothing. The articles of clothing may be articles of swimwear, athletic wear, or athleisure wear.
