  • Publication number: 20230246934
Abstract: A method of processing a data packet in a vehicle having a plurality of nodes interconnected in a network by generating a chain of hash value blocks. The method comprising, for each of the nodes: receiving a data packet and a first hash value block associated with the data packet from a previous node; processing the data packet by providing a time stamp information to the data packet; generating a second hash value block based on the data packet, the first hash value block, and the time stamp information; and transmitting the processed data packet and the second hash value block to a subsequent node. The method further comprises the step of determining the latency time on the second hash value block.

  • Patent number: 11620249
Abstract: In aspects, a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) communication circuit including a first LIN master associated with a first LIN bus and a second LIN master associated with a second LIN bus is disclosed. A data link is connected between the first and second LIN masters. A first mirroring client is established at the first LIN master for receiving message bits corresponding to a LIN message in a first slot on the first LIN bus and for transmitting the message bits bitwise over the data link. A second mirroring client is established at the second LIN master for receiving the message bits and transmitting them over the second LIN bus. The first and second LIN masters include synchronised schedule tables such that the message bits on the second LIN bus are transmitted in a corresponding slot to the first.

  • Publication number: 20230033771
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for transmitting data through a switch-based network in an in-vehicle communications network system. In an example transmission-based method, the method includes for a transmitter device generating, by a generator, a reservoir data stream (RSSj). The method also includes transmitting the reservoir data stream (RSSj) through the switch-based network. The method further includes, when a new data stream from the transmitter device to a receiver device is needed, replacing, by an injector, at least part of the reservoir data stream (RSSj) by a new data stream.

  • Publication number: 20230005307
Abstract: Systems and techniques are described herein for configuring an automotive controller within an EE architecture. The automotive controller is connected to other components within the EE architecture. An initialisation process is activated in the automotive controller in which the automotive controller determines diagnostic data for identifying other components connected to it within the EE architecture. The diagnostic data is transmitted from the automotive controller to an update controller. An identifier is assigned to the automotive controller by the update controller based on a location within the EE architecture determined from the diagnostic data. The software in the automotive controller is then updated based on the determined location.
