  • Publication number: 20240100642
Abstract: A method for protecting a user of a power tool from the effects of a suddenly occurring imbalance, and to a power tool having a disk-shaped tool for carrying out the method. The power tool has at least one acceleration sensor which is configured to detect vibrations which occur during the operation of the power tool. The vibration values determined can be evaluated and compared with specified limit values, wherein the power tool can be switched off if the vibration values exceed a corresponding limit value. By switching off the power tool, which can be achieved in various ways, the power tool affords optimum user protection against the effects of a suddenly occurring imbalance that may occur, for example, in the event of a defective tool of the power tool.

  • Publication number: 20240051109
Abstract: A power tool having a first rechargeable battery and a second rechargeable battery as energy sources, wherein the power tool includes a main body and a motor. In particular, the power tool is characterized in that the main body has a first receiving space for receiving the first rechargeable battery, and a second receiving space for receiving the second rechargeable battery, wherein the receiving spaces are arranged in such a way within a housing of the main body that the rechargeable batteries are accessible and replaceable from a rear side of the main body, wherein the receiving spaces for the rechargeable batteries form a lower boundary of the main body of the power tool. The receiving spaces for the rechargeable batteries or the rechargeable batteries themselves are arranged in a lower, rear region of the main body, where they are particularly well protected against falling, moisture or the like.

  • Publication number: 20240042590
Abstract: A handle for a power tool, wherein the handle has a switch-on lock and an operating switch. The handle is characterized in that the switch-on lock is configured to prevent contact between a spring element of the operating switch and an electronic switching element in a blocking position of the switch-on lock and to permit same in an operating position of the switch-on lock. In a second aspect, the invention relates to a power tool having a handle. In further aspects, the invention relates to methods for switching on a power tool and for switching off and locking a power tool, wherein contact between the operating switch and an electronic switching element can be prevented in a blocking position and permitted in an operating position.

  • Publication number: 20240009825
Abstract: A handle for a power tool, wherein the handle has a safety switch and an operating switch. The handle is characterized in that the safety switch includes a switching region and a front region, wherein the front region is configured to interact with a mating contour of the operating switch such that unintentional switching on of the power tool is prevented. A power tool having a proposed handle is also provided. An improved locking possibility for an operating switch of a power tool can advantageously be provided.

  • Publication number: 20230415324
Abstract: A power tool having an air cooling system. A special air guidance system is proposed, the components of the power tool, such as a motor, transmission or electronics of the power tool, can be supplied in a particularly efficient manner with a cooling air flow around them and in this way can be cooled. In this case, the cooling system should, in particular, be independent of any components of the housing of the power tool since the air guidance is advantageously brought about by internal guidance processes, wherein these internal guidance processes preferably take place independently of components of the housing of the power tool. In particular, the housing-independent air cooling of the components of the power tool is achieved by the provision of a fan on a rotor of the motor of the power tool, which is designed, by means of a reduced pressure, to produce a cooling air flow and guide it in a suitable manner through the power tool.

  • Publication number: 20230001538
Abstract: An electric power tool having a rotating tool. The electric tool is characterized in that a direction of rotation of the tool on the electric power tool can be set in dependence on an operating state of the electric power tool. The automatic settability of the direction of rotation of the electric tool is associated with the advantage that no gearbox for changing the direction of rotation, as in an internal combustion engine, is required. In addition, the user-friendliness of the electric power tool for the user can be significantly improved, since the user practically no longer has to worry about setting a “correct” direction of rotation of the tool. In a further aspect, the invention relates to a method for operating an electric power tool having a rotating tool, wherein the direction of rotation of the tool on the electric power tool is set in particular in dependence on whether or not a suction device is connected to the electric power tool.

  • Publication number: 20220176511
Abstract: A protection device for a power tool is provided. The power tool can be, in particular, a hand-held battery-operated power tool, such as a cut-off grinder. The power tool preferably has main components in a main region, such as a motor, transmission and rechargeable batteries, which are protected effectively from mechanical damage, e.g. when dropped, by the protection device. Moreover, the protection device prevents the transmission of vibrations in the power tool to the user. • Patent number: 9597788
Abstract: A handheld power tool has a switchable gear component actuatable by a selector switch. The gear component moves from a first operating position into a second operating position. The selector switch has a first switching position associated with the first operating position and a second switching position associated with the second operating position, and movable so that intermediate positions are assumed. A traveling coupling between the selector switch and the gear component has a spring exerting force onto the gear component in the first direction. A locking bolt is coupled to the selector switch in a positively driven manner. In the intermediate positions, the locking bolt is moved into a blocking bolt position blocking movement of the gear component out of the first operating position into the second operating position. When the selector switch is in the second switching position, the locking bolt is in a releasing bolt position.
