  • Patent number: 11970378
Abstract: Systems for inspecting a warehouse are disclosed. A system includes a laser scanner attachable to an industrial truck and adapted to scan in a plane substantially perpendicular to the industrial truck's main direction of travel to scan an environment of a warehouse on at least one side of the industrial truck and to generate scan data. The system includes a computing unit adapted to receive the scan data and data on the absolute position and/or relative position change of the industrial truck, or data from which one or more of these variables can be derived. The computing unit is further adapted to construct three-dimensional data of the environment on the basis of the scan data and data on the absolute position and/or relative position change of the industrial truck.

  • Publication number: 20230185314
Abstract: A logistics system including: a leading truck and a following truck. The leading truck is configured for autonomous driving and the following truck is not. The leading truck includes sensors for spanning an environment monitoring region. The leading and following trucks each include a transceiver for operating a wireless data connection between the leading and the following trucks. The leading and following trucks are configured such that the leading truck controls the following truck remotely via the wireless data connection. The leading industrial truck includes an autonomous controller configured to control the following truck along a target path to determine a position and an orientation of the following truck in relation to the leading truck. The autonomous controller is configured to remotely control the following truck to always be located within the environment monitoring region of the leading truck when traveling along the target path.

  • Publication number: 20220155414
Abstract: A method for identifying objects in a warehouse comprises emitting an identification signal into an environment using a transmitting apparatus. Reflected identification signals by objects in the environment are detected as a signal echo using a receiving apparatus. A solid angle and a receiving time are assigned to each of the signal echoes. It is then determined whether a same solid angle has been assigned to a plurality of signal echoes, and if so, then for those plurality of signal echoes, the signal echo which arrived last in the receiving apparatus according to a receiving time is evaluated. The object is then identified based on the evaluated signal echoes.

  • Patent number: 11209274
Abstract: A method to determine a stopping distance of an industrial truck comprises the steps of (i) measuring a distance traveled by the industrial truck and set points in time therebetween to determine a current vehicle speed, (ii) ascertaining at least one comparative value indicative of a relative speed change depending on at least one distance traveled during an acceleration of the industrial truck, and (iii) determining the stopping distance from the current vehicle speed and the ascertained comparative value.

  • Publication number: 20210300742
Abstract: A device for remotely controlling at least one industrial truck comprises a remote operating station comprising one or more operating elements that correspond to an operating station of the at least one industrial truck. The one or more operating elements are configured to be actuated. A control unit is configured to generate control signals in response to the actuation of the one or more operating elements. The control unit is further configured to transmit the control signals to the at least one industrial truck via a radio transmission path.
