  • Publication number: 20240132630
Abstract: Provided are methods of attaching a mannose-binding C-type lectin receptor targeting moiety to a polymeric carbohydrate backbone using an amide linkage. The amide linkage may be found between a leash, such as an amine terminated leash, and the mannose-binding C-type lectin receptor targeting moieties. The compounds and compositions disclosed utilizing the amide linkage provide for highly stable compounds with a significant reduction in loss of mannose-binding C-type lectin receptor targeting moieties from the polymeric carbohydrate backbone.

  • Publication number: 20240075057
Abstract: Provided are compounds, compositions, methods, and kits for increasing target specificity of a mannosylated carbohydrate polymeric therapeutic or diagnostic compound to reduce or eliminate localization of the mannosylated carbohydrate polymeric therapeutic or diagnostic compound to off-target sites. Mannosylated carbohydrate polymers are synthesized to be modified to be either polyanionic (i.e., net negatively charged) or electrostatically neutral, and using these polyanionic or neutral mannosylated carbohydrate polymers as competitors for polycationic (i.e., net positively charged) mannosylated carbohydrate polymers carrying small molecule drug payloads or imaging moieties to CD206 expressing cells in target tissues, such as tumors or other sites of inflammation.

  • Patent number: 9284699
Abstract: A tape-applying striper, and related methods, by which commercially-available pavement marking tape is mechanically-applied and pressure-retained on highways, roadways and parking lots to mark lanes and parking stalls at designated locations, wherein the striper is dirigible either by the operator walking behind the striper and manually displacing the striper, or by motor driving the dirigible striper, as the operator rides.

  • Patent number: 9193114
Abstract: A method for producing a component with at least one hollow profile from a fiber composite material includes producing a component blank from the fiber composite material. The component blank includes a hollow profile with open ends. The component blank is thermally treated. Each open end of the hollow profile is closed with a stopper that includes at least an outer circumference of a closed-pore foam. The thermally treated component blank is tested using ultrasound in accordance with a non-destructive material-testing method. The component blank is then mechanically treated so as to obtain a finished component and the stoppers are removed. Alternatively, the component blank is mechanically treated to obtain the finished product before the ultrasound testing.

  • Patent number: 8493554
Abstract: A structural element for a fuselage cell structure of an aircraft, in particular a stringer profile or an annular former segment, the structural element being made from a composite material, in particular from a carbon-fiber-reinforced epoxy resin. The structural element comprises at least one positioning aid for facilitating position determination by means of a measuring system. A laser measuring system and/or a tactile measuring system may be used as a measuring system. As a result of the reflector which can be attached to the positioning aid without clearance as a target for the laser measuring system, which is preferably a laser tracker, a spatial position of the structural element in relation to a further component can be determined very precisely and without contact. Following position determination and orientation of the structural element, the reflector can be removed from the positioning aid.

  • Patent number: 6676336
Abstract: The broach assembly includes alternate spacers and cutters arranged in a sub-assembly having a lead at a leading end and a lag at a trailing end. The cutters have side margins in excess of the margins of the spacers for cutting material from the dovetail slots of the turbine wheel as the broach assembly passes through the slots. The bottom or apices of each spacer and cutter are tapered to form a continuously tapered surface along the bottom of the broach assembly. Upon passing the broach assembly through the slot, the assembly is progressively displaced in a radial outward direction to progressively cut the active dovetail slot surfaces. Shims may be disposed in the bottom of the slot to further displace the broach assembly radially outwardly in multiple passes.

  • Patent number: 6634836
Abstract: A broach assembly includes an elongated base having a central upward projection and a pair of side flanges and a tapered undersurface. Releasably mounted on the projection are multiple tool holders spaced along the length of the base. The tool holders mount cutters for engaging active surfaces of the wedge slot as the broach assembly is passed through the wedge slot. Shims may be interposed between the tool holders and base to increase the elevation of the cutting surfaces relative to the undersurface of the base to progressively increase the bearing pressure of the cutting surfaces against the active surfaces of the slot during multiple passes of the broach assembly through the wedge slot.

  • Patent number: 5953221
Abstract: A multi-range power supply unit with an automatic switchover between ranges for different power supply voltages is disclosed for use with devices such as circuit breakers or contact systems. The power supply unit preferably has only two input connections for an input voltage range of approximately 20V-230V. Between the two input connections there is a rectifier circuit with a voltage stabilizing element, such as a Z-diode or equivalent device, connected in parallel. Connected in series to the rectifier circuit is a current divider. The current divider includes a capacitance and a thermistor. The thermistor preferably has a positive temperature coefficient (PTC). The power supply unit can be used for a power supply with DC voltage and for a power supply with AC voltage.
