  • Patent number: 4815394
Abstract: An all plastic shelf is part of a shelving system and is provided for uses where metal shelves might rust or corrode, especially if attacked by hostile chemicals. The underside of the plastic shelf has a channel formed around the periphery thereof. A welded metal frame fits into the channel, with either the width of the frame or a cover plate substantially covering the channel in order to prevent an entry of foreign matter therein. Sockets are formed in the corners of the frame to receive corner posts for supporting the shelf. These sockets fit into corner sockets which are molded into the metal frame.

  • Patent number: 4607795
Abstract: A spray head assembly is made from a very few number of injection molded parts. Preferably a pair of elongated housing shells fit together in face-to-face confrontation, with a spring biased actuator arm or control lever pivotally mounted between them. The lever has a metal shaft extending therefrom, which passes through a flexible cone in a rubber bulkhead to maintain a waterproof seal. In front of the bulkhead is a solid plastic plate having mounted therein a reciprocally slidable member controlled by the lever. In one embodiment, the sliding member contains a generally triangular or tapered opening or openings having a sector of a circle for a base. Depending upon the position of the slide, the opening moves up or down to open or close a water passageway through the spray head. The sliding member first presents the smaller sectors of the opening or openings to an associated sealing ring to minimize the abruptness of any change in discontinuity of water flow at the edge of the opening.

The sliding member first presents the apex of the opening to an associated sealing ring to minimize the abruptness of any change in discontinuity of water flow at the edge of the opening.

  • Patent number: 4431031
Abstract: A pre-rinse hose for use in the food service industry is provided. A core section is formed from an inner tube extruded from a rubber compound, a layer of textile braid applied to the inner tube and an outer tube extruded from a rubber compound over the textile braid. A steel braid is applied around the outer tube and a cover of polyvinyl plastic material is extruded over the steel braid. A hollow stem is held in each end of the hose by a ferrule which is crimped and compressed over the hose ends. A wrench-faced nut is disposed on each hollow stem to connect one end of the hose to a faucet and the other end to a pre-rinse spray head. A spring is applied around the end of the hose connected to the faucet to reinforce the hose against breakage.

  • Patent number: 3980204
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing articles such as cafeteria trays comprising a lower supporting structure upon which a plurality of trays are stacked. An upper supporting structure is provided for holding the stack of trays in a vertical or upwardly extending alignment, and a dispensing opening is defined between the upper and lower supporting structures. A threaded element is adapted to engage the bottom edge of the forwardmost tray in a stack and to thereby pivot the tray about the upper supporting member for passing of the tray through the dispensing opening. Means such as a conveyor comprising part of a tray washing machine are positioned for collecting the trays dispensed.

  • Patent number: 3977549
Abstract: A construction for handling soiled tableware whereby the tableware is loaded on a cafeteria tray or the like and wherein the tray is moved to a station for discharging the tableware from the tray. A paddle or the like provides a lifting means which operates to pivot the tray to achieve a partial tilt thereof. A swinging arm serves as a second lifting means which engages the partially tilted tray and completes pivoting movement so that the contents of the tray will be completely removed by gravity. The driving action for both the paddle and swinging arm comprises a single rotating shaft supporting the paddle and carrying an eccentric which transmits swinging movement to the arm.
