Abstract: Apparatus is provided for manual control of a clutch in a motor vehicle having a manual gear shift control. The normal foot-pedal operation of the clutch is not impaired, and may be employed concurrently with the manual control system. Manual control is obtained by electrically switching a hydraulic pump, which in turn drives a cylinder and piston mechanically linked to the conventional clutch pedal. Additional switches are provided for disconnecting the pump when the clutch reaches its engaged or disengaged positions, and indicator lights are further provided to signal the driver when these positions are attained.
