  • Patent number: 10366080
Abstract: A database search method and system utilize user community defined facets and facet values for refining searches. The system provides access to a database having a plurality of records in respective categories of information. Each record has one or more facets to the respective category of information, usable in connection with a search as suggested additional parameters for further refining search terms or guiding user navigation of the database. The facets and facet values are defined by a computer network community of users over time and through use of the network community portal. Another embodiment is an advertising engine that displays targeted advertisements to the user based on refined search. Another embodiment is a method that utilizes refined search to help the user with navigation of a site (e.g., website or other computer network site) as a component of a GUI.

  • Patent number: 9572414
Abstract: A pack with a variety of panels which can be deployed. A mid-panel is defined on the fabric housing. A head panel is attached to the mid-panel adapted to be folded and contained over the mid-panel. A leg panel is attached to the mid-panel adapted to be folded and contained over the mid-panel. The top finger loop is attached to the head panel and extends from the top. A bottom finger loop is attached to the leg panel extending from the bottom. Upon pulling the top finger loop and the bottom finger loop, the head panel and the leg panel, respectively, can be deployed from the fabric housing. A chest strap is deployable using an upper side finger loop. A waist strap is deployable using a lower side finger loop. The instant pack includes semi-rigid body boards contained over the mid-panel to add rigidity and enhance safety.

  • Publication number: 20060119166
Abstract: A vehicle wheel weight has a mass portion of a nonlead material configured as a strip having a plurality of weight segments. Adjacent weight segments are separated by a transverse groove defined in the strip. Each of the grooves is configured so as to provide a web of reduced width thickness that flexibly interconnects adjacent segments. An adhesive is provided at a back surface of the strip to permit attachment of the strip to a vehicle wheel. A release liner is located on the adhesive to protect the adhesive prior to use.

  • Patent number: 6941105
Abstract: A system and method to reduce the time and complexity of IT classroom setup. The present invention leverages virtual machine technology to create a new learning platform. In one embodiment, the system includes a classroom computer having installed therein a virtual machine platform, virtual machines, and an exercise launcher. The system also includes a database for associating classroom exercises with one or more of the virtual machines. The launcher has a user interface that enables a student to select a classroom exercise. In response to the student selecting a classroom exercise, the exercise launcher determines the virtual machines associated with the selected exercise and requests the virtual machine platform to launch the determined virtual machines. In this way, the classroom computer is automatically configured to enable the student to perform the entire exercise.
