Abstract: A catheter system may include a catheter assembly and a needle assembly. The catheter assembly may include a catheter adapter, which may include a distal end, a proximal end, a lumen, and a side port. The catheter assembly may include a catheter extending from the distal end of the catheter adapter and an extension tube. A distal end of the extension tube may be integrated with the side port of the catheter adapter. The needle assembly may include a needle safety element, which may be disposed within the safety housing or the catheter adapter. The needle assembly may include a guidewire advancement device coupled to the safety housing or the catheter adapter, and an introducer needle having a proximal end coupled to the guidewire advancement device.

Abstract: A bag dispenser includes a frame with a roller portion for receiving a bag roll defined by a plurality of bags attached to a leading bag to be dispensed, the roller defining a longitudinal axis. A brake plate is configured to capture the leading bag against the frame for providing frictional force on the leading bag to limit sliding thereof, the brake plate pivotally attached to the frame via a pivot arm, the brake plate pivotable with respect to the frame between a non-pivoted friction-application position and a pivoted bag roll-installment position, the pivot arm configured to pivot with respect to the frame along a pivot plane generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.

Abstract: An apparatus for maintaining culinary knifes, the apparatus having a handle assembly formed of a handle portion and a knife guide. An elongated tubular burnishing member is connected to the bottom end of the knife guide portion. A rubber friction tip is inserted into the bottom end of the tubular burnishing member. An elongated honing member is also coupled to the bottom end of the handle assembly and mounted in the interior of the tubular burnishing member. The burnishing member therefore performs a second function, that of being a protective sheath for the honing member.

Abstract: A honing device for culinary knives having a handle assembly formed of a knob portion mounted on the top end of a vertically oriented handle portion. An inverted frusto-conical knife guide is connected to the bottom end of the handle portion. The elongated hone is preferably tubular and it is connected to the bottom end of the knife guide. A coupling inserted into the bottom end of the tubular hone has a rubber friction tip mounted on its bottom end. An elongated draw bar rod has external threads on its top and bottom end. The top end of the draw bar rod passes through aligned bores in the knife guide and the handle portion and is received in a threaded bore in the bottom of the knob portion. The bottom end of the draw bar rod is received in the threaded bore in the top end of the coupling that has a rubber tip in its respective bottom end. The honing device is light weight and easily assembled and disassembled.
