  • Patent number: 5352347
Abstract: An electrostatic filter for non-conductive liquids including an electrically conductive cylindrical housing having a fluid inlet at a first end portion thereof and a fluid outlet at a second end portion thereof with an easily removable filter cartridge disposed in the housing between the fluid inlet and outlet. The filter cartridge is made up of concentric spaced electrically conductive tubes having filter members disposed in the space between the tubes with an opposite electric charge provided to each adjacent tube. The non-conductive fluid passes through the resulting electric charged field such that positive charged particulate migrate to a negative plate and negative charged particulate migrate to a positive plate with no discrimination as to the type or size of particulate.

  • Patent number: 5330636
Abstract: Apparatus for the continuous reconditioning of non-conductive hydrocarbon fluids from a system utilizing such fluids includes an arrangement of interconnected filters having at least two different type filters, with means for mechanically and electrically arranging the filters to allow a continuous reconditioning of the fluid with the option of re-refining some selected portions of the fluid. A monitor is provided at the end of at least one of the filtering functions for monitoring the quality of the fluid, and the fluid is automatically rerouted to either a clean reservoir or to recycling.

  • Patent number: 5301543
Abstract: A moisture monitor for determining the amount of moisture in liquids which may include direct installation into a non-conductive liquid flow line or, a detection chamber having a continuous flow of contaminated non-conductive liquid therethrough, and a probe inserted in the detection chamber including means for determining both actual water vapor pressure and saturation vapor pressure of water at the temperature of the liquid. An analyzer monitor remote from the probe is connected thereto by cable for converting the information received by the probe into an analysis of the moisture content of the liquid. Analyzer may be a separate control box or incorporated into remote equipment panel.
