  • Publication number: 20130197658
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to nasal stents incorporating a filter and methods of use thereof. In one embodiment, a nasal stent has a stent body having a lumen with the same inner diameter (ID) along the length thereof. In an alternative embodiment, the nasal stent has a stent body having a lumen with a decreasing ID along the length thereof. In any embodiment, the stent is capable of having a compressed configuration and an expanded configuration. The nasal stent may further include a tubular insert housing a retaining mechanism to retain a filter at a proximal end thereof. A support may further fix the filter at a proximal end thereof. When inserted within a nostril of a person, the filter may function to filter particulates from the air when a person breathes in.

  • Patent number: 7789467
Abstract: The side dump trailer including a side dump body pivotally mounted on a wheeled frame and which is pivotally moveable between a transport position to at least one side dumping position. A body stiffening structure assembly is secured to the exterior surface of the side dump body and is comprised of two or more body stiffening structures welded to the exterior surface of the side dump body in a spaced-apart relationship. The body stiffening structures include elongated stiffening rails secured thereto and extending therebetween which are also welded to the side walls of the side dump body.

  • Publication number: 20070034458
Abstract: A gearbox having an integral wet brake assembly is provided to replace the prior gearbox assembly of an underground mining machine. The brake housing is configured and contoured to be nestingly received upon the gearbox housing and without intrusion upon the output drive flanges. The brake housing includes concentric parking and service brake pistons adapted to engage and disengage a brake disc stack provided within a cavity machined into an end plate of the gear box assembly. An intermediate shaft of the gearbox is provided with a hub to engage the rotary discs of the brake disc stack. The parking brake is normally engaged by a spring and released by hydraulic pressure, while the service brake is normally released by a spring and engaged by hydraulic pressure.

  • Publication number: 20060091082
Abstract: The invention is a process for treatment of brown grease, where the brown grease comprises water, food solids and free-oil. This process starts with the collection of the brown grease into a container. The brown grease's pH is adjusted with a chemical treatment to produce an adjusted brown grease phase. To the adjusted brown grease phase an anionic copolymer treatment mixture is added along with a cationic copolymer to form a reaction mixture. The reaction mixture reacts for a period of time, and during this time wastewater is discharged from the reaction mixture to produce resulting solids. The resulting solids are then transferred from the container for disposal or are processed further into a fuel or soil additive.
