  • Publication number: 20150163701
Abstract: The disclosure provides for managing voice calls in Circuit Switched Fall Back (CSFB) communication devices that are configured to make voice calls using both Circuit Switched (CS) networks and Internet Protocol (IP) over Packet Switched (PS) networks. The device may determine, when registered with a PS network, a signal strength of a CS network at the device. The device may select, based on the signal strength of the CS network, one of the CS network and the PS network for the voice call. The device may establish the voice call using the selected network. The device may receive a user request for initiating a voice call, and initiate a voice call over the selected network automatically using an application corresponding to the selected network. The device may also register with a voice over IP (VoIP) service over the PS network based on the signal strength of the CS network.

  • Patent number: 8886179
Abstract: A fault remediation system for fielded wireless mobile devices addresses field failure data collection, consolidation of field failure data, and an information services platform so that the players in a wireless/mobile broadcast/broadband application/service value chain to respond to field failure problems in a consistent and automated manner from wireless/mobile devices over wireless multicast and or wireless broadband networks. An elegant and extremely flexible mechanism enables the failure data collection from a targeted set of wireless/mobile devices. In addition, sophisticated mechanisms identify targeted set of devices that should participate in field failure data collection based on user specified operational requirements (e.g., selected OEM, device configuration type, subscribers to a specific wireless broadband serve, failure occurrence certain time limits, etc.).

  • Patent number: 8119943
Abstract: A draw-out mechanism for a molded case circuit breaker includes a fixed side plate and a plurality of auxiliary contacts mounted to the fixed side plate. The draw-out mechanism also includes a movable member moveably mounted to the fixed side plate. The movable member includes a cam member that acts upon the plurality of auxiliary contacts. The draw-out unit further includes a front panel member having a visual indicator mechanism and a locking mechanism provided with a padlock locking arm, a door lock and a second lever. In addition, the draw-out unit includes a connector plate that operatively couples the movable member and the front panel member. The connector plate includes a plurality of adjustment portions that establish a desired extension of the connector plate relative to the movable member to accommodate a predetermined spacing between the movable member and the front panel member.

  • Patent number: 5418793
Abstract: A method and apparatus for conformance testing of complex entities, such as networks and their protocols. Networks that have their managed objects, attributes and notifications defined in industry standard ASN.1 notation can be methodically processed according to finite state machine models of their managed objects to provide optimum test cases for conformance testing. These test cases are optimum in that they are minimized according to a cost criterion, while designed to test each state of the finite state machine model at least once. A data base stores the optimum test cases of the managed objects to support testing of the defined and modeled network. The method further applies these optimum test cases via a test apparatus to a system-under-test, e.g. a network, to test conformance thereof to its specifications.
