Publication number: 20140379437Abstract: A networked graphical user interface for creating, manipulating and displaying depictions of user chosen data is provided. The graphic interface communicated to a user display in a radial positioning provides a plurality of individual depictions allowing user choices to initiate a data communication to said user device, or to initiate secondary depictions relating to one or a plurality of sub choices available to said user, using a pointing device. Secondary graphic interfaces provide grid selection and positioning for visual renditions of data communicated per user choice.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 24, 2014Publication date: December 25, 2014Inventor: Raminder Singh

Patent number: 7587453Abstract: A method and system for determining an availability of an application. Pairs of processes utilized by the application are determined. Each pair includes consumer and provider processes. For each pair, a diagnostic transaction is initiated by the pair's consumer process, utilizes an application programming interface (API) to open a connection between the consumer process and provider process and to request access to a resource managed by the provider process. Any communication between a pair's consumer and provider processes uses the same API. The diagnostic transaction is completed by receiving or not receiving, at the consumer process, a response from the pair's provider process where the response provides the requested access. Receipt of the response designates the provider process as available to the application, whereas non-receipt of the response designates the provider process as unavailable. If responses are received for all diagnostic transactions, the application is available.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2006Date of Patent: September 8, 2009Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Raminder Singh Bhrara, Philip Andrew Watkins

Publication number: 20080288615Abstract: A bidirectional radio frequency identification (RFID) network system and method are presented. The system allows users to configure, monitor, and manage different sensor devices by using a graphical user interface real-time. The reconfiguration is done through a network management computer at the top system level that receives user input, generates code images according to the user input, and appropriately routes the code images to sensor routers that directly control the sensors. If the system is multi-layered, some code images are also sent to the intermediate-level network management computers. The system allows users to not only monitor a business flow but react to problematic situations quickly by adjusting the workflow. The aspect-oriented nature of the system allows users to reconfigure the system based only the Functionality aspects without worrying about the Partitioning aspects (e.g., how the network and the sensors are physically connected).Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2008Publication date: November 20, 2008Applicant: Blue Vector SystemsInventors: Raminder Singh Bajwa, Sanjeev Dharap, Anurag Mendhekar, Pavithra Reddy Moranganti, Radhika Muralidharan

Patent number: 6487694Abstract: The apparatus includes a first SOVA decoder that generates a first path reliability value from a channel value, a parity symbol and a first a priori likelihood value. A first decorrelation unit generates a first extrinsic symbol reliability value by decorrelating the channel value and the first a priori likelihood value from the path reliability value. A first symbol reliability saturation unit saturates the first extrinsic symbol reliability value to generate a first saturated extrinsic symbol reliability value. A first interleaver interleaves the first saturated extrinsic symbol reliability value to generate a second a priori likelihood value. A second interleaver interleaves the channel value to generate an interleaved channel value. A second SOVA decoder generates a second path reliability value from an interleaved parity symbol, the second a priori likelihood value, and the interleaved channel value.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 1999Date of Patent: November 26, 2002Assignee: Hitachi America, Ltd.Inventor: Raminder Singh Bajwa
