  • Patent number: 5626028
Abstract: A modular food display case system permits a particular display case arrangement to be easily customized from a basic design. A plurality of modular bed sections, which are pre-manufactured from a lightweight composite honeycomb material, are used as the basic building blocks of the customized display case, and are arranged end to end. Their lengths may be cut and angled as desired to further customize the arrangement of the customized display case. Partitions divide different temperature-controlled zones within the display case, and may be positioned anywhere along the length of the case, according to the specific arrangement and lengths of hot, cold, and dry (ambient temperature) zones employed, without regard to the ends of the case or the location of joints separating each of the bed sections.

  • Patent number: 5453053
Abstract: An improved amusement ride and ride vehicle that permit a passenger to control the rotation of a passenger car as the vehicle travels along a ride course. The ride vehicle includes a support tube upon which the passenger car is rotatably mounted and a passenger operable steering mechanism. The ride vehicle also includes a spin shaft that extends down through the support tube. The spin shaft permits the use of safety systems that are mounted to the chassis of the ride vehicle. Control logic may be used to turn the passenger cars to a preferred orientation at the end of the ride. The ride vehicle itself may be barbell shaped to permit it to turn sharp corners along the ride course. The passenger car also includes a readily adjustable lap bar that is self-releasing. A slot cover, a plow assembly for displacing the slot cover and a slot cover switch are also provided.

  • Patent number: 3988709
Abstract: A thermistor sandwich assembly connectable for controlling motor starting windings is enclosed in a relatively thin and conforming case. The sandwich assembly includes a contact plate abutting the case lower wall with plate integral spring fingers against a face of a wafer-like thermistor, another contact plate overlying and having downward projections against the other thermistor face as well as abutting the upper case wall. A plurality of holes in the lower case wall and a bus bar slot through the upper case wall permit air circulation through the case and between the contact plates and thermistor faces for cooling the thermistor, the relay being otherwise free of cooling plates. A bus bar is rigidly connected extending partially through the case bus bar slot in electrical connection with the thermistor sandwich assembly normally transmitting electrical energy to a contact plate but selectively severable or removable to permit addition of capacitance in the electrical circuit.

  • Patent number: 3973584
Abstract: Upper and lower blocks with registering grooves are assembled about a pipeline with an upper block piercing needle moved downwardly piercing the pipeline. The piercing needle is then moved upwardly providing communication through the pipeline pierced hole and into a transfer passageway of the upper block. A resilient O-ring is positioned within an annular chamber spaced outwardly of a lower portion of the piercing needle compressed upwardly against the upper block and downwardly against the pipeline to seal the upper block groove from the pipeline pierced hole. The lower block groove is formed semi-circular in transverse cross section and the upper block groove is formed semi-elliptical in transverse cross section with the pipeline being deformed totally conforming to the block grooves when the blocks are brought into assembled abutment.
