    Abstract: The present invention is directed to an improved internal mold release system for the production of high density molded SRIM parts, i.e. molded parts having a density of from 1.3 to 2.0 g/cc. In particular, the process involves reacting a reaction mixture comprising an organic polyisocyanate and at least one organic compound containing isocyanate-reactive hydrogens in the presence of a catalyst and an internal mold release agent in a closed mold. The internal mold release agent is a compound corresponding to the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.2 represents hydrogen, the group R.sup.5 --NH--CO--, or a C.sub.1 to C.sub.24 alkyl or substituted alkyl group, a C.sub.3 to C.sub.24 cycloalkyl or substituted cycloalkyl group, a C.sub.2 to C.sub.24 alkenyl or substituted alkenyl group, or a C.sub.6 to C.sub.24 aryl or substituted aryl group, andwherein R.sup.1, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 may be the same or different and represent a C.sub.1 to C.sub.24 alkyl or substituted alkyl group, a C.sub.3 to C.sub.

    Abstract: The present invention is related to a structural member comprising a laminate and an adhesive where said adhesive is the reaction product of (a) 100 parts by weight of at least one hydroxy functional material having a molecular weight of at least 300 and a hydroxy functionality of at least 2 which material is preferably selected from the group consisting of polyether polyols, polyester polyols, polyester amide polyols, and polycarbonate polyols, (b) 0.2 to 20 parts by weight of an aliphatic, aromatic and/or a cycloaliphatic diamine or triamine, and (c) an organic isocyanate in an amount sufficient to render the isocyanate index between about 70 and about 150, wherein said component (c) is not prereacted with any of the components (a) and (b). In a preferred embodiment, there is included up to 50 parts by weight of component (d) which is an aliphatic polyol having a functionality of at least 2 and a molecular weight of below 300.

    Abstract: A stable copolymer dispersion is prepared by addition copolymerization of (1) a monomeric adduct of an active hydrogen compound, e.g., a polyether polyol, and an acrylyl compound such as methacryloyl chloride with (2) ethylenically unsaturated monomer(s), e.g., styrene or a mixture thereof with acrylonitrile, while (1) and (2) are dispersed or dissolved in an excess of an active hydrogen polyfunctional compound such as a polyether polyol. The molar ratio of acrylyl moiety to active hydrogen compound is less than 0.1:1. The resulting dispersion has a controlled particle size and a viscosity such that it is suitably employed in the production of polyurethane foams.

These new catalysts correspond to the formula ##STR1## WHEREIN: N IS AN INTEGER OF FROM 1 TO 3; R.sub.1 is an n-valent organic radical;R.sub.2 is hydrogen, hydrocarbyl or inertly-substituted hydrocarbyl;R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each independently hydrogen, hydrocarbyl, inertly-substituted hydrocarbyl, or, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are joined to form a 5- or 6-membered carbocyclic ring. The catalysts are delayed-action, heat-activated catalysts which are particularly useful in the preparation of polyurethanes.
