Abstract: A method and system for offering for sale and distributing the live recording of content is disclosed. First, the intellectual property rights to produce, copy, and distribute a live recording of content for sale is acquired. Thereafter, a plurality of computing devices suitable for network communication are configured to join a distribution network. The devices connected to the distribution network may be presented a time limited offer for sale of the live recorded content either during or after the event. After the expiration of the offer for sale, the live recorded content is unavailable to devices that did not accept the time limited offer for sale.
