  • Patent number: 5292155
Abstract: A stabilized connector assembly (24) for connecting an instrument manifold (26) to an orifice fitting assembly (16) for a main flow passage (10) comprising a pair of generally identical stabilized connector subassemblies (30, 32). Each subassembly (30, 32) includes an elongate connector body (34) having an externally threaded inner end (38) for threaded engagement with an internally threaded outlet port (24) of the orifice assembly (16) and a flanged outer end (40). Bolts (58), jack nuts (68), and collar (78) form stabilizing components connected between the outer flange (40) and the orifice assembly (16) for resisting radial loads from a manifold (26) thereby minimizing any deflection of connector body (34) and resulting stress at inner threaded end (38).

  • Patent number: 5036884
Abstract: A mounting plate (20) is positioned between a manifold (18) and a pair of fluid pressure transmitters including a differential pressure transmitter (22) and a gauge pressure transmitter (24). The fluid pressure from high and low pressure taps or lines (14, 16) placed on opposite sides of a flow restriction (12) of a main flow line (10) is measured and transmitted to a remote location by the transmitters (22, 24). The mounting plate (20) has low and high pressure ports (62, 64) for differential pressure transmitter (22) and a low pressure port (66) for a gauge pressure transmitter (24). A connecting fluid passage (68) connects the low pressure ports (62, 66) and a block valve (80) is movable between open and closed positions to permit or block fluid communication between the ports (62, 66) and fluid communication between the transmitters (22, 24).

  • Patent number: 4938246
Abstract: A cleaning tool (46) for removable attachment to a valve manifold (10) upon removal of instrumentation (26) therefrom for cleaning the axial bore (29) of the valve manifold (22). The manifold (22) which has a mounting flange (56) supporting the instrument (26) for measuring, monitoring, or recording differential fluid pressures from a main flow line. The cleaning tool (46) has a flange (56) thereon adapted to fit in mating relation against the flange (36) on the valve manifold (22) upon removal of the instrument (26). A cleaning rod (62) of the cleaning tool (46) has an enlarged diameter cleaning member (68) thereon for cleaning the axial bore (29) of the valve manifold (22) upon manual reciprocation of the cleaning rod (62).

  • Patent number: 4779931
Abstract: A safety support and stop assembly for securing a dump body pivotally mounted on a truck chassis frame in an elevated position above the chassis frame so as to permit a mechanic to work safely on components of the truck while the dump bed is in the elevated position. The safety support and stop assembly comprises an upright support member, a cradle support assembly and a base assembly. The upright support member is characterized as having an upper bed engaging support end and a lower pivot end. The lower pivot end is pivotally connected to the cradle support assembly such that the upright support member is disposed in a selectable angular disposition relative to the truck chassis frame. The base assembly, which is removably supported on the truck chassis frame, supports the cradle assembly at a preselected position along the truck chassis frame.

  • Patent number: 4124040
Abstract: An underground high temperature conduit is intermittently anchored against axial displacement in concrete blocks by means of radially extending metallic anchor plates. The central conduit includes an adjacent insulation layer and a non-continuous reinforced fiber plastic outer casing which is connected through first an insulating flange, and second a metal sleeve to the oppositely disposed sides of the intermittent anchor plates. Surrounding the outer casing at each anchor station is an annular outer housing which extends beyond the width of the concrete block. Additional insulating flanges are placed at the respective conduit end locations. Each insulation flange includes a steel flange plate which faces a reinforced fiber plastic flange plate and is secured by an insulated fastening means through an intermediate asbestos gasket.
