    Abstract: In a preferred embodiment the present invention provides a tanning system with base unit and canopy unit mounted to define a gap for a person to be tanned. The canopy unit defines a facial area to be before the person's face. The facial area provides ultraviolet illumination coupled with illumination in the visible light and/or infrared light spectrums. In one embodiment, the system includes one or more facial tanners and one or more skin rejuvenation portions mounted in the facial area. Preferably, the facial area includes one skin rejuvenation portion mounted in the center of the facial area before the person with a face to be tanned and two facial tanners mounted laterally beside the skin rejuvenation portion within the facial area.
