  • Patent number: 9835190
Abstract: Fastening clips, motorized vehicles with fastening clips, and methods for using fastening clips are disclosed. A fastening clip is disclosed for attaching a component to a panel using a threaded fastener. The fastening clip includes a body that inserts into the aperture. The clip body has a flange that seats against one surface of the panel. One or more flexible retaining clips project from the clip body to seat against an opposing panel surface and, with the flange, attach the fastening clip to the panel. Flexible ratchet fingers extend from the clip body into an internal cavity. The ratchet fingers are located on respective sides of the cavity, and are spaced to extend to respective axial positions within the cavity. These ratchet fingers are located and spaced so that only one ratchet finger, at a given time, seats between adjacent threads when the fastener is inserted into the internal cavity.

  • Publication number: 20140223630
Abstract: A wearable article provides a non-slip connection between the wearer's bare skin and the surface of an adjacently located object. The wearable article includes correspondingly aligned and shaped interior and exterior grip material segments at one or more locations on the wearable article. The interior grip material segments and correspondingly aligned and shaped exterior grip material segments serve to significantly diminish and potentially eliminate all relative movement between the user's skin, the grip material on the inner facing surface of the wearable article, the material defining the wearable article, the grip material on the outer facing surface of the wearable article, and the surface of an adjacently located object. The correspondingly aligned and shaped interior and exterior grip material segments on the wearable article may be arranged in different sizes and patterns to suit the movements typically executed during a particular physical or sporting activity.

  • Patent number: 8412451
Abstract: A method for timing performance of a maintenance function, in particular the timing of regeneration of a diesel particulate filter (22) to conserve fuel as a motor vehicle (10) travels along a projected travel route. Certain road data about roads in a roadway system is processed to develop data for anticipating certain modes of vehicle operation during travel of the vehicle along the projected travel route. The data for anticipating certain modes of vehicle operation along the anticipated route of travel and data geographically tracking vehicle travel along the projected route are interactively used to control timing of performance of the maintenance function as the vehicle travels along the projected route.

  • Patent number: 6338370
Abstract: A fill valve assembly for use in association with a filler device. The fill valve assembly generally includes: an outer housing; a product dispensing member; a displaceable piston; and mechanisms for controllably displacing the piston to a clean-in-place position. The product dispensing member is associated with the outer housing and includes a channel having a sealing member retained therein. The displaceable piston is positioned within at least a portion of the outer housing and the product dispensing member. When the piston is in the clean-in-place position, the seal member retained within the channel of the product dispensing member is exposed which facilitates cleaning thereabout.
