Abstract: A compact reflow oven and cleaning apparatus combines in a unitary housing for both the reflow and cleaning function. This results in the saving of valuable floor space in the printed circuit board assembly areas. The unitary housing and control of temperatures in the reflow and cleaning areas facilitate the removal of contaminants before solidification of such contaminants.

Abstract: A cleaning apparatus (10) is disclosed for cleaning electronic components within JEDEC or Auer containers (59). The containers with electronic components and assemblies therein are conveyed through the apparatus by a conveyor assembly (18). A manifold assembly (16) defining precision planar surfaces (60) establishes a predetermined separation, preferably 0.020 inches, between the manifolds and the tops (57) of the containers (59) to prevent the electronic components and assemblies from being lifted out of the containers under the influence of the washing and rinsing operation The manifolds have apertures formed therethrough for spraying the washing and rinsing fluids and drying gases onto the electronic components and assemblies.

Abstract: A circuit board cleaning apparatus (10) is disclosed which efficiently cleans a circuit board (12). The circuit board is positioned beneath a head assembly (24) whre it is grasped by a number of arms (38) and lowered into the interior of a tank (26). The board is oscillated about a vertical axis within the tank while immersed in a cleaning agent, such as water. Provisions are made to rinse the cleaned board and dry the board. After the board has been cleaned, it is removed from the tank and released. All cleaning, rinsing and drying operations are conducted within the tank.
