  • Patent number: 10472022
Abstract: A Bimini top attaching system has a mounting bracket that is affixed to a watercraft and a latch affixed to a frame tube. The latch has a main body with a tube portion that is located inside the tube and a hook portion that is exposed. The latch includes a movable catch that slides inside a catch trough between a locked and unlocked position, with a spring biasing the catch towards the locked position. In the locked position, a chisel point on the catch interrupts a transverse notch in the hook portion. Moving the catch to the unlocked position allows a pin on the mounting bracket to pass in and out of the transverse notch. The catch is restrained in the catch trough when the tube portion is located inside the tube.

  • Patent number: 5803104
Abstract: A frame for a bimini cover for a deck of a water craft. The support structure has a first end frame retained in a fixed position with respect to the deck and a second end frame pivotally connected to the first end frame. The frame has first and second support members each of which have a first end fixed to the deck and a second end fixed to the first end frame to define first triangular members to hold the first end frame in a fixed position with respect to the deck. The second end frame is moved from a closed position to an opened position to selectively extend a canopy over the deck. First and second strut members are secured to the first end frame and joined to the second end frame to define second triangular members. The strut members are adjustable after being joined to the second end frame to hold the second end frame at a fixed arcuate distance from the first end frame while maintaining a predetermined tension on the canopy.

  • Patent number: 5722712
Abstract: A deck cover for a trailer having first and second frames which are joined to first and second brackets fixed to a deck to form a rectangular member. The first and second frames have center members which are located in pockets in a tarp. Fasteners attached to the deck engage the first and second frame to hold the first and second frames in a substantially horizontal position to form a canopy over the deck. A center frame is attached to the first and second brackets, straps connected to the first and second frames extend to the deck and hold the first and second frames with the tarp attached thereto in a vertical position to provide for easy access to place cargo on the deck.
