  • Publication number: 20240142284
Abstract: A material feeding apparatus and method for providing a controlled feed of material. In particular, there is described a material feeding control apparatus and method comprising a feed rate measurement device capable of providing an online mass and/or volume flow measurement of material and a material sensing device capable of providing an online content (e.g. composition) measurement of the material. The material being fed may, for example, be any suitable bulk material including fuel for a combustion chamber (e.g. a furnace), mined materials such as iron ore and food in a food feeding system. A particular example of the present invention is the provision of a fuel feeding apparatus capable of providing substantially stable combustion in a combustion chamber (e.g. a furnace) which may be incorporated into a cement production line.

  • Patent number: 10217553
Abstract: A liquid containment device is provided for a liquid filled transformer having a tank and a bushing attached to a surface of the tank, the bushing including a terminal having a terminal head including a terminal head opening and a porcelain bushing. A terminal head attachment is attached to the terminal head of the bushing. A housing is provided having an open end, a closed end and a contact pole opening formed on the closed end, the housing encapsulating the bushing and the terminal head attachment. A contact pole is attached to the terminal head attachment and extends through the contact pole opening of the housing. A contact is attached to the contact pole and a housing fastener is fastened on the contact pole to press the housing onto the surface of the tank.

  • Patent number: 6731043
Abstract: A spin-roll formed one-piece field core shell formed from a blank disc of sheet metal. The one-piece field core has an outer annular ring integral to and encircling a center axis of the disc and extending from a bottom external surface in a direction that is perpendicular to the bottom surface of the disc and parallel to the center axis of the disc. The core has an inner annular ring integral to and encircling a center axis of the disc, the inner annular axis is spaced radially inward from the outer annular ring and extends from the bottom external surface in a direction that is perpendicular to the bottom surface of the disc and parallel to the center axis of the disc. The one-piece field core also contains a mounting flange that encircles a center axis of the disc and extends in a perpendicular direction to a top external surface of the disc and parallel to the center axis of the disc.

  • Patent number: 6095307
Abstract: A tool support and monitoring assembly for a press. The tool includes upper and lower die shoes, back-up plates, and upper and lower die tooling. The die tooling is secured to the back-up plate and includes a first surface facing the back-up plate and an opposite second surface. The back-up plate defines an air plenum which is connected to a pressure monitoring device. The die tooling defines a plurality of small bores which communicate with the air plenum. The bores extend from the first surface toward the second surface of the die tooling. The pressure monitoring device detects air pressure in the air plenum and bores, and shuts down the press to prevent a subsequent stroke when a pressure drop indicative of tool failure is detected.
